I might be in the minority, but I've found some sporting events are less entertaining in person. Unless you have the perfect spot, you miss the details of the game.

Football, I'd rather watch on TV, the camera affords the perfect angle for watching the whole formation. The best I had was 50 yard line, lower level at the Meadowlands and that was perfect. The worst was at 3 Rivers Stadium, in the corner of the end zone and I didn't see squat.

Baseball, I'd rather be at the stadium, because watching it on TV bores the life out of me. Same with hockey.

I've never been to a boxing match, but I'd imagine without good seats, it would be pretty boring.

Soccer live is pretty good, but I haven't seen that since I was a kid and the Cosmos were a team. It's more spread out and constantly moving and easy to keep track of what is going on. I wouldn't mind seeing the World Cup.

I like watching it on tv....about 100x more fun than MLB. And super cheap food if you go there! Man, wish real games had that good of food at that price.

i'd love to go to a rangers v celtic game. got a season ticket so onbviously been to a few at celtic park but i'd love to go to ibrox and watch us beat them in their own midden.
would love to go to one of the big rivalry games on the continant with the crazy fans like galatasaray v fehnerbache (turkey) olympiakos v panathanaikos (greece) or preferably marseille v paris saint germain (france) would also love to see a boca juniors v river plate game in argentina.
scotland in the world cup

outwith football:

does wrestlemania count as a sporting event?
definately plan on going to a cowboys game at some stage, i'm even trying to convert my mate who doesn't like the sport so i've got someone to go with.
scotland v england rugby at murrayfield.
i'd like to go see a boxing match at some point, i enjoy watching david haye fight at the moment.
not technically a sporting event but going to an airshow in september with a few of the boys. sun (hopefully), beer, fast food and planes what more can you ask for in a day out?
enjoyed the darts when i've been so would love to go to the las vegas desert classic.

I'm not real big on being at events (TV is the best seat in the house). Aside from the obvious, I would probably pick the World Series or the Indy 500.
