I might be in the minority, but I've found some sporting events are less entertaining in person. Unless you have the perfect spot, you miss the details of the game.
Football, I'd rather watch on TV, the camera affords the perfect angle for watching the whole formation. The best I had was 50 yard line, lower level at the Meadowlands and that was perfect. The worst was at 3 Rivers Stadium, in the corner of the end zone and I didn't see squat.
Baseball, I'd rather be at the stadium, because watching it on TV bores the life out of me. Same with hockey.
I've never been to a boxing match, but I'd imagine without good seats, it would be pretty boring.
Soccer live is pretty good, but I haven't seen that since I was a kid and the Cosmos were a team. It's more spread out and constantly moving and easy to keep track of what is going on. I wouldn't mind seeing the World Cup.
