In response to the 80's thread, this is for those of us a little older.

Some of my favorites from the 60's and 70's:

If you're old enough to remember, add some of your favorites!

My gosh, there are just so many...

I'll give some of my favorites from '64 until '69...

I'll do it by group or in small groups.

Beattles:

"I Wanna Hold Your Hand"
"A Hard Day's Night"
"Please, Please Me"
"Do You Want To Know A Secret"
"I Feel Fine"

Such a great era would be neat to see what your favorite song is by all the great bands and singers

I'll start it off with the Beatles

Eleanor Rigby

Stairway to Heaven, Iron Man, Paranoid, Bohemian Rhapsody, Hotel California, and American Pie are near the top of my list. There are so many it is too hard to pick one. I liked Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Kiss, Styx, The Steve Miller Band, The Eagles, The Bellamy Brothers, etc.... I am sure there are many I am leaving off.

Other favorites from the 70s (can't post videos right now)...Carole King, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon. Y'all posted some great songs, but I'm more of a soft-rock person...never got into hard-rock and metal too much.

I liked the softer side too but not near as much as the harder stuff.

It's so hard to pick ONE favorite Beatles song!!

I might have to settle on "Yesterday" which I posted in OP.

I agree I just love Eleanor Rigby though. I started collecting their Apple release on Vinyl have a handful. Let it Be, Revolver, Magical Mystery tour.

Love Let it Be, Paperback writer, Dear Prudence, Daytripper, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, just to name a few they are my favorite band, easily

The 60's and 70's are when I was growing up.

I have been listening to music since I was 5 years old or so because my older brother had a radio that we listened to each night as we went to sleep growing up. He always fell asleep first so I listened to a lot of music, LOL!

It was AM radio, "Night Flight" out of Chicago.

I now listen to 60's and 70's channel on SiriusXM radio. Also listen to 'Classic Vinyl' and 'Classic Rewind' channels on XM, .. which is songs from the late 60's, 70's and early 80's.

I like all music, but I'm kind of stuck in that time frame. LOL

So this thread is awesome, and right up my alley.
