28 of the 30 visits, or something like that, were DEs or DBs. They screwed the pooch on this draft long before this week.

We are completely motivated by need, so much so that our idiot VP of Personnel announces last night that they'll still get a quality CB at the end of round 2.

It's about the worst way to approach the draft. They've ignored 80% of the players and most of our genius fan base applauds them for it.
This will turn out to be true IF they bypass more talented players to fill a specific need.

It's only round 1, but IMO, the only player the Cowboys passed over who was clearly more talented than the guy they chose was probably Foster. But he has other questions as you know (drug test, injuries, behavioral). All the other guys chosen around the end of round 1 may or may not have been ranked higher than Taco. It all depends on who you talked to or read.

We'll see what happens tonight. If clearly more talented players are bypassed because of CB or S need, then you theory will prove correct. But it remains to be seen.

I think Tabor is their guy of the prospects who could be there at 60.
Im in the minority by far but I wouldnt hate a Tabor pick at 60 even though Id prefer 92 (obviously)

He's pompus idiot. Most really good CB's are. Takes a pompus idiot to get beat a few times and not crawl into a shell like Morris Claiborne.

He's a player though

I just had a horrible thought. What if they take Justin Evans in the second round?

I can see that....It would be like replacing Wilcox....With rookie year Wilcox. Do we really want to go through that procerss again? I thought the whole process of going through the "the process" was to build???? not start over....

He's more than a pompous idiot though. He may also have a little bit of trouble with the weed. Skipped one test because he likely would have failed and I believe also got arrested with pot in his possession.

Combine the love of firing up a joint here and there with the mental capacity of a 6 year old, Tabor is a dangerous pick.

Its the possible weed thing that has me really concerned with him. They have gotten burned hard by drugs of late, so I think its something they are going to investigate thoroughly.

Right now I don't think there is a better CB left in the draft on the field. And the OSU boys may have been the only ones better in the draft

I am surprised to see the number of OL that were considered possible first rounders still on the board. Probably a combination of an overall weak class of OL that really did not have too many true first rounders and the fact that teams lacking at that spot already overpaid in FA.
If a quality one came our way, I would not at all be upset if we picked an OT that wasn't always hurt (like Green) or doesn't suck (Bell).
was supposedly a terrible year for OL which is why teams went crazy in FA for them.

I think he can play but I am not sold he's the best CB left. Frankly, his teammate Wilson might be as good if not better.

Not sure anyone is applauding them, rather hoping this tunnel vision is a smokescreen or more likely that a value DB is available at 60 making the tunnel vision.....work so to speak. Sometimes things work out even when you screw up. I think Taco was a fine pick at 28
