JG will surely pass on 1st and goal especially if there is just enough time on the clock for the other team to go ahead an win.

Except for in the red zone.
Romo admitted he would pass and not run
in 2016 i dont think they gave Dak much leeway on rpo and would tell him to go with Zeke for the most part
last year looked like they gave him more freedom to decide and sometimes it was ugly

but hes still very young and didnt ever play from under center so its to be expected that he would make mistakes especially since he wasnt a top pick
he has to play better this year though

Cuz, those are the easiest plays to call. No imagination from our staff
maybe so but plenty of teams have been mashed up trying to stop it
its when the run isnt working that they need to open things up
only a handful of times could anyone stop them though

Unfortunately not enough teams were mashed up for us to make the playoffs

Leading the league in rushing will be a cakewalk for sure.

Leading the NFL in rushing will be easy the problems will start when they 8 man in the box us and our running game is limited!
Success for our offense will pretty much rest on the shoulders of DAK as any running game can be stopped with the proper defense scheme or talent....

I'm hoping he can assume the role of hammer, I'm optimistic that he can but with all rookies" late round picks of course" part of training ground will consist of blocking and special teams. I hope "Bo knows" that:)

Yeah No would be really nice on ST. I can imagine him hitting the returner, may be something simular to a heath collision!

If the cowboys can somehow have Austin in the backfield with zeke a good am ut of plays I think that can keep the box decent.

The running game is the only thing everyone agrees on, did you think you were telling us something we didn't know?

But with the playoffs on the line against hawks and 3 shots at it, we pass all 3 times with this expensive OL.
Yes. One drive over the course of a season we didnt commit to the run in the red zone.

If we had been successful in any of those attempts nobody would bring it up.

This should be the best backfield with running and receiving as all 3 are good at both; however, blocking and blitz pick up will be critical. Zeke is pretty good at it but Austin is too slight and Bo's a rook.

Dallas is considered the most run oriented offense in the league and every DC knows that so their #1 priority is to not allow the Cowboys to establish their run game downhill and some will have to sell out to do that.

In a pass happy league, what challenge does Dallas bring with regards to preparation by the DC's? They have to be concerned more about the run and clock control and will be more 8 man front oriented and force the game into the QB's hands. Most of Murray's long runs, and the man ran in a straight line, were against those sets. Emmitt did the same thing. 8 in the box is 1 less at the second level and Zeke, Tavon and Bo can take it to the house. For a big back, Bo is deceptively fast and runs downhill once he gets up to speed making him a hard out,

The tricky part is it takes a strategic thinking OC like Norv was when he was willing to not allow the DC to dictate his play calling. He didn't always run against 8 but he did it enough to make them nervous about it enough to back off and play it straight. That old quote "taking what the defense gives us" will not work. With this OL and RB's and top 3 running QB, the offense must impose their will and control the game.
