lol, we're notoriously a run first team.

run first, we need to commit to it, believe in it. im not saying run all the time, but if we re pounding it and they cant stop it, why stop? thats what garrett will do.

Some seem unimpressed but I am looking forward to seeing how it all plays out. We've added talent to the offensive line and we have some promising and proven talent at the running back position. Can't wait for a healthy training camp to get this party started.:)
I'm stoked to see how this defense turns out.......

I'm looking forward to seeing that side of the ball as well. I think this unit has the potential to be a ill-tempered nasty bunch, health permitting of course. Time to spread some doom to other places than the Zone:)

it doesnt matter, if Dallas doesnt commit to the run, whats it all for?
You question if the coaches commit to the run? We have to be in the top 2 or 3 run heavy teams in the NFL over the last 4 years. That is without looking up the stats.

running and committing are two different things. we sat Zeke and Alfred at the wrong times.

we need to say we're running the ball and run that ball. we ran the ball more because most of the league is still pass happy. Garrett has to commit and believe in the run.

Last I check Scott Linehan was the OC calling the plays. Since he was hired, Garrett built the OL and has stressed the run.. Linehans pass happy schemes is the guy you need to worry about. Yeah, I get it.. “Garrett is the HC tho”.. he can’t baby sit the OC all game. People blame the wrong guy as usual.

im tired of defending this, look past the stats. give it a try, Dallas has to use the run to power into the red zone. they have to keep to the run when the defense is tired. They have to commit to the run to get that 1 yard.

stats dont tell you these things. Garrett has to commit to the run and know it can get him the tough yards and than let Dak throw when he has or wants to.

give it a rest, our problems that exist under Linehan were there with Garrett. ok, its not that hard, Dallas has not commited to the run. We need to commit to it.

I think it’s odd Bo Scarborough went in the 7th round..

What am I missing? If Derrick Henry is a 2nd rounder I would think Bo is no worse then a 4 or 5.

I really like Rod Smith too. I’ve been hyping him up since the preseason.
bo was a fifth round pick on the cowboys draft board is what I was reading the other day

Again without looking for a large part of last season we led the NFL in 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1 conversions and that was with Zeke missing 6 games. And if Im not mistaken we were top 10 in redzone efficiency the last 2 years. IMO that is because of what we do running the ball even if it is a pass we usually throw off of playaction with Dak and Zeke. Our problem last year was getting to the redzone again that is just my opinion.

yes opinion thank you. my point is let the run set up the pass and let the defense know we can run all over them.

Is that not what we do....to a fault sometimes? IMO this has been what our coaches have wanted our identity to be since Marco won offensively player of the year. Yes my opinion.

not, our fault was trying to force it to Dez. Our fault was thinking witten was still top tier when we got false starts. and no agian our coachs have no becuase Garrett wouldnt commit to the run until Demarco and even sat the number 1 RB in the league when we needed him most, remind you of another coach at a bad time?
