My favorites are Coal Miners Daughter and A Boy Named Sue.

There is no such thing as best. To think so is stupid.

Hah, your awful taste continues. Garth Brooks is the devil!

Country was just about dead and buried until he came around. The world has been worse off ever since.

That about does it right there.

The rest are just honorable mentions, although there have been a bunch of good ones listed here.

A few of my favorites:

One of the best songs for a waltz, besides "Waltz Across Texas" by Earnest Tubb:

That one ^ has a bit of special meaning for me since they played it at a relative's funeral years ago, my grandmother's sister's husband. He was the kind of guy that never used 5 words when 2 would do. Thing was he married into our bloodline, and it cost him his inheritance on a piece of land that a lot of folks would recognize the name of that are familiar with South Texas ranches. He stayed strong through his wife's fight with bone cancer, but the day she died, his heart did too. We put him along side her 8 months later.

I do have to say, one of these days when I build the house they'll carry me from, I want the scene from this one painted on the walls of my game room:

Second that notion. One of my favorite female vocalists that gets overshadowed by the musical genius of her father.

Have you ever heard her ex-husband, Rodney Crowell, talk about meeting Johnny for the first time?

I remember you mentioning that before on a father meeting his daughter's date thread. :lmao: Without a doubt I can see Johnny saying that and then walking out of the room, case closed.
