Preseason game in 1988 when Randy White jerked the helmet off a Chicago Bears player then beat the guy over the head with it.

Romo marching out on the field after halftime against the Giants when Bledsoe threw the pick to Sam Madison going INTO halftime. I remember everyone going nuts WAYYYYYY up from the nosebleeds when we saw Romo trot onto the field. What a memory.

George Teague KO's T.O. On the star at midfield. I barely remember much about the game but that is something that will stay with me forever. The crowd was going crazy!

..the quintessential moment the Cowboys became a team with a threat..

up until then..the team had no stars and had no glamour.

This would be the summer of '65 and Bob Hayes was just a rookie. I think it was the Salesmanship Club Game against the then World Champion Green Bay Packers.

I was about 10 years old.

As I remember, the crowd at the Cotton Bowl was there to see Hayes play and he didn't disappoint. About the middle of the second period he blew by the Packers secondary and Meredith lofted a deep throw about 10 yards past the secondary for a TD.

Hayes was light years past the defenders. He gathered in the pass and covered the last 20-30 years with ease. The crowd went crazy..we all jumped to our feet and high fived and back slapped each other..being complete strangers.

Later in the game, he also returned a long punt return and almost broke it for a TD.

Everybody just went crazy.

Walking back to our car, everybody was talking about Hayes and his legend had begun. Pocket radios were blaring as people as they were walking were leaning in to hear the post-game interviews.

It was a magic moment. As a fan..it was like finding the Holy Grail. And Hayes became one of the most feared receivers in football.

Oh happy day.

I wasn't at that game but a couple of months ago my dentist put me on the phone with his father. Just stopped in the middle of the procedure and called his Dad who is in his 90s. Talked to him for a few then handed me the phone telling me his Father's name. We talked at least 5 mins while his Dad told the story of this game. He and his oldest son had bought tickets for a few bucks each and gone to the game. He related this kool story about Bob Hayes at this game. His son had played ball at Texas A&M or Texas Tech I think the latter and was very fast. He had been an Olympic finalist in the ??200 or something either right before or after WWII. Sorry I don't remember well. They had both marveled at how fast Hayes was. He mentioned Hayes as having very long legs which I just don't remember. Interesting that two people so far apart would have a connection to that particular game. Cheers.

That was the only memorable thing about the game the Cowboys got beaten and humiliated. Suffering a beat down and watching TO race out to the star at mid field added insult to injury. Even Teague decking TO didn't soften the blow much for me.

Here's a few of mine:

No video found specifically for this, but I was also at the Monday Nighter between the Cowboys and Giants in 1998, where Deion Sanders single handedly won the game. He had a punt return and interception return for touchdowns, and caught a 50 yard pass from Garrett.

I was also there the next year, when the Cowboys nearly won on a lateral on a kickoff return at the end of the game. Following a Tiki Barber TD that made it 13-10 Giants, Brad Daluiso kicked deep with less than :10 to go rather than squib the kick. Deion caught the kickoff, and then lateralled it to Kevin Mathis, who ultimately handed it off to Singor Mobley who returned it for a TD (it was called back due to it being a forward lateral). After the game, Daluiso, who tore his ACL on the play trying to make a tackle, blamed his injury on being stupid enough to kick deep to Sanders.

I was also at Quincy Carter's best game as a Cowboy, where he took the Cowboys to a road win against the Giants after throwing a pick 6 on his first pass of the game.

...a Cowboys fans since 72 and When I went to my first and only game in person this is the play I got to see from the left side of the Dallas Offence.

Murray's 91 yard run was quite incredible. The Rams' safety over committed crashing down and took himself out of the play.

For regular season, the Troy to Rocket 76 TD in OT.

But, I would prob pick any of the plays in SB XVII or SB XXX.

i've only seen the Cowboys once and it was the infamous 4th and 1 game in that armpit of a stadium in Philthy. i remember it being a cold day . . .i think the wind chill was about 10 degrees and the Cowboys were dominating the first half.

then in the second quarter, Larry Brown stepped in front of a Rodney Peete pass and returned it for a TD. he was running down the right side line towards the end zone where i was sitting. i jumped out of my seat yelling like an 8 yr old school-girl. stuck out like a sore thumb too--well besides the yelling, i was wearing my Cowboys jacket. surprisingly, the Iggle fans never bothered me . . .must have been too cold.

Looks like another misinterpretation for you it's what's the best Cowboys play you've seen in "person."

Aging myself with this one a little:

I was in high school and my best friend, a Commander fan (gasp!), came with on Thanksgiving Day when Dallas played Miami - on the ice. It was a perilous journey to get there and we almost decided not to try it. But, alas, our boys were playing on Turkey Day and we had 14th row 45 yrd line seats baby!!

Game goes on - the whiskey in the flask was flowing almost as much as the smack talk amongst pals.... and yes, purely medicinal as it was 25 degrees out. :)

Lo and behold we "ice" the game with the block (pun intended) and Leon Lett does his magic. My buddy TO THIS DAY has never let me live it down.

Good times indeed.

Well, seeing how I was at both of those Super Bowls I would consider a lot of those plays the best. Too many good plays to narrow it down to just one.

Here's a clue: there is a reason I only listed 2 SB's rather than 5.

Being from Washington D.C(DALLAS Cowboys) I'm jealous.
The Bomb from Aikman to Ismail at Fedex first play in OT.

I saw Emmitt break the record, and wahed TO stand on the star and get whacked by Teague.

In the early 90s, every game was a snoozer, but it was awesome.

First game ever, I watched Staubach beat Roman Gabriel and the Eagles.

As a matter of fact I was at those 2 SB's.

For SB 27 I was sitting right on the goal line where Leon Lett had the ball smacked out of his hand. Same endzone where Irvin had his 2 TD catches at the end of the first half to put us up 28-10. Magic and Barkley were sitting about 20 seats over to my left and 1 row down. It was a perfect day.

For SB 30 a friend had an extra ticket for the game so I decided to go to Phoenix. Another great experience but not the same as SB 27.

I dont misread, or misinterpret what people post. That just doesnt happen.
