At best, I see Blue as a high end 3rd down receiving RB a la Ronnie Harmon. I don't see Blue as a RB1 due to lack of physicality. How will Blue respond when he gets hit in the mouth during TC or preseason? Does he have the mentality to tighten his chinstrap and run hard again or is he looking to run out to the slot?

I'm not into hyping this young man up into something he's not because most times what you get in college is how he's best used in the league. So, again, I'm looking for Blue to be the next Ronnie Harmon, I belive that would a great career for him.

Harmon was 5'11 200 with 4.3 speed, same as Blue, and I see many similarities making Harmon the best comp for Blue.

Sorry, brother. I wholly disagree.

Jaydon Blue is going to surprise a lot of doubters...

The running past people won't happen as much in the pros, but I really liked right after the 3:15 mark where he put his shoulder into the defender and fell forward. Also looks good in the red zone finding a way into the endzone.

Look we can all have an opinion if this is your opinion that's fine, i'll live with it,

but I disagree Harmon was used more like Debo Samuels, I don't care about their size, talk about the utilization, he was a receiver 1st in a running back 2nd....

This value is mostly at receiver especially early on in his career what he achieved as a running back was just scraps ,like yeah they used him as a running back sparingly but I don't think that's going to be the case with blue,

blue's gonna be more like Tony Pollard, I believe if you look at the way they've utilized when Kmara was the backup, the change of pace guy for Ingram, if you look at the way even going back to Reggie Bush ,and you look at most of his years not his two best years, that is who blue is or can be, his size and speed is exactly like Jamir Gibbs,

so why not use Jamir Gibbs?

Not exactly the same size 5'9 close to 200 is not the same as 5'11 200, i'd say that blue being two inches shorter he's a little thicker...

Like I said there's nothing wrong with your comps, that's what you believe but I don't believe that if you really look at Harmon's career he used like Debo Samuels more utilizes a receiver that can run the football,

I believe blue regardless of his speed and what he can offer the passing game, he will be seen as a run first guy ,who can add something in the pass game.

We'll get to figure it out over the next three years,

somebody's going to be right somebody's going to be wrong I just watched them play every game he played with the Longhorns and he can be a regular running back not a three down guy not a power back not somebody you see as an every down back, but he definitely has more than just scraps as a running back, and this all he can do is receive the football..

I get why you would see that but I think my comps are better like I said if he ever turned into Gibbs that would be awesome but I'm not using that as an expectations but he's built exactly like Gibbs same height same weight same speed I like that it doesn't have the miles but I'd rather see the way Tony Pollard was used when he was backing up a Zika Elliott and like Kamar was used when he was backing up Ingram and the way Reggie Bush was used for most of his career when he was just a change of pace guy that is who this guy is...

I'm not saying that's who he would become i'm saying that is his game is more like that....

Blue is an exciting prospect. I can't wait to see him run. The guy can move! Folks need to go watch film of his blocking at U.T. though. He's willing, but just doesn't have the mass. This is his limitation, and the reason he was not drafted higher.

I think Blue's a Central Casting "lightning" back. He reminds me less of any one player than of the whole stereotype.

Small, fast, can catch, can't run up the middle, can't pass block. You find a "thunder" guy who can handle the last two, then give Blue like 10 high-YPC touches a week.

Emmittt was 5-9, 209 when he came into the NFL. And slower. Same thing was said, small, slower, how will he do. Though he was a consensus 1st round pick.
Blue was a lower round pick, but mainly because he was not the starter as a possible reason for that.

Emmitt had remarkable power though. I would love to see a comparison (Smith vs. Blue) in leg press, squat, and bench press.
