Best Jaydon Blue Comp

Reminds me a lot of Chris Thompson from the skins, late round pick that was explosive but overall was just another smaller super fast back that ultimately had some highlights but wasn’t able to play enough due to size and physicality.

Half the time these guys end up sitting on some teams practice squad for their career because they just don’t have the frame or physicality to make the 53. Blue looks stiff to me as well, fast as hell but stiff. Anyone thinking this guy is even going to come close to being a starter let alone a great player is definitely on the koolaid.

Thompson if anyone cares

5-7 192 decent speed vs 5-9 196 with elite speed

Thompson still had a decent career. 1214 career rushing yards 4.7 career avg. 1918 career receiving yards 8.3 career receiving avg. 16 career TDs overall.

I think the best comp for him is Tony Dorsett. Just being honest. Now I'm not saying he'll be TD, but his running and pass game prowess with the elite speed is very similar.

I agree by far that's the worst comp,

it's kind of funny a guy like Jamyr Gibbs is the exact same size, height, weight , and speed and yet everyone keeps going to these low end guys for comps. Somehow Gibbs is starting He does have a better offensive line a better offense and until this year he had a great play caller a great offensive coordinator designing plays....

That's why I Stand Pat saying as long as he can give us something close to Tony Pollard this is a win for the Cowboys, and their fans..

he's going to be exciting to watch but no he's not a 3 down back he's not a starter, I bet he can build into taking 40-50 percent of the snaps by midseason.

Blue has the "shake and bake" kind of quickness that many RBs fail to exhibit. I'm expecting him to make the most of his opportunities, as long as he's able to ditch his fumbling woes. Let's see if that happens in the weeks to come. Blue has that uncanny knack to leave tacklers reaching.

Fumbling can be corrected, as long as the individual works on it and takes the proper precautions. I do hope that's the case that lies in Blue's future. It can certainly be corrected. Tony Dorsett proved that it's quite possible. No reason why Blue can't, also. I expect that he will. Holding the ball "high and tight" is the key. The Cowboys offense needs him to extend himself to TD's level of greatness. He just might.

Correct tiki Barber was the poster child for that and we even had a Zeke early in 2020 couldn't seem to hold on to the football but I'm sure they broke down a lot of film listen to coaches practice it more and got it fixed..

At best, I see Blue as a high end 3rd down receiving RB a la Ronnie Harmon. I don't see Blue as a RB1 due to lack of physicality. How will Blue respond when he gets hit in the mouth during TC or preseason? Does he have the mentality to tighten his chinstrap and run hard again or is he looking to run out to the slot?

I'm not into hyping this young man up into something he's not because most times what you get in college is how he's best used in the league. So, again, I'm looking for Blue to be the next Ronnie Harmon, I belive that would a great career for him.

Harmon was 5'11 200 with 4.3 speed, same as Blue, and I see many similarities making Harmon the best comp for Blue.

Longer video showing how to use Blue:

Shorter and to the point video:

Blue is from Texas, Harmon is from NY. Blue has been getting hit in the mouth since he was in PeeWee ball.
