Yeah...so I guess I am a big kid then. I can appreciate fiction...matter of fact most people can. I know you are trying to flex your maturity muscles, but it is a little pointless in this thread. I'd be curious to hear the types of movies you like though.

All sorts. Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, Rear Window, Very Bad Things, Crash, 25th Hour, Resevoir Dogs, Office Space, Usual Suspects, The Big Lebowski, Rounders, Glory, stuff like that.

Those are good movies...can't argue. A little dark until you through Lebowski and Office Space on there.

I was watching Superman Returns the other night. I just didn't like the story and that means everything to a movie.

Although I did not think it was a good movie, I did think there were some very good things about it.

Kevin Spacey was great. He is a good Lex Luthor and follow up to the great work that Gene Hackman brought to the character.

The CGI was pretty darned good. The scene of him stopping the plane crashing was fantastic. Good use of technology to show what Superman can do.

The best thing about the latest Superman movie was that Tim Burton wasn't the one to film it. :D
The bad thing about Superman is that he does not have any real iconic villians outside of Lex Luthor. Batman and Spiderman have alot of different guys to go to.

Here's a secret: they all are for kids.

Uh, no. Did you see Sin City, 300? BATMAN BEGINS? And from the sound of it, THE DARK KNIGHT is going to push an R rating.

2 things I've kept with me since I was a kid: The Cowboys and Batman. And BTW, they stayed with me after I discovered girls...and my wife...and my 3 kids.

The fight scene between "evil" Superman and Clark Kent in Superman III is the movie's only saving grace. One of my favorite comic book movie scenes of any movie.

Whoever said that Superman Return's weakness was on story hit it on the head. Everything else in that movie was perfect:

1) Great cast - Brandon Routh was about as good as you could get, without a Flux Capacitor. I personally would have just gotten Hackman back, I'm not a big fan of Spacey and, as I understand it, he wasn't too thrilled about the role.

2) The look was great. Going back to the art deco look was phenomenal.

3) Action/CGI was perfect. They didn't get too cute, the plane scene is one of the best ever.

But unfortunately, the story was incredibly weak, and everything else just couldn't make up for it. Hurt my feelings, to be honest.

Yeah, I hear you. That movie had the look down perfect, Spacey was Hackman, Routh WAS Christopher Reeve . . . and yet, it was flat.

I went to see the Fantastic four last night and it was pretty decent but I left there thinking this, THE SILVER SURFER NEEDS HIS OWN MOVIE. This guy was awesome he made the movie.

The Silver Surfer was one of the best comic book characters ever. His powers were almost endless. Check this out.

Silver Surfer Powers

Powers
The Silver Surfer wields "the power cosmic", absorbing and manipulating the universe's ambient cosmic energies. He can augment his strength to incalculable levels, and is almost totally indestructible. He can navigate space, hyperspace and dimensional barriers, and can fly at near-limitless speeds on his board, entering hyperspace when he exceeds light speed. He has even proven capable of time travel on occasion. The Surfer does not require food, drink, air or sleep, sustained entirely by converting matter into energy. He is immune to temperature extremes and most radiation, and can survive in vacuum environments such as outer space and hyperspace. He can analyze and manipulate matter and energy, and restructure or animate matter at will, even transmuting elements. He can heal living beings (though he cannot raise the dead), and has proven capable of revitalizing or evolving organic life on a planet wide scale. He can alter the size of himself or of other matter, cast illusions, fire energy blasts, form and manipulate energy constructs, manipulate gravity, absorb and discharge most forms of energy, and phase through solid matter. His senses enable him to detect objects and energies light years away, and to perceive matter and energy in subatomic detail; he can even see through time, and with concentration can achieve limited perception of past and future events in his general vicinity. The Surfer has demonstrated limited telepathic ability on occasion, and has proven able to influence human emotion and sensation.

This guy would make an incredible movie or 3.

What about this guy?

He's not really a comic book hero, that I know of, but he deserves his own movies.
