Incredible. Greatest tennis match I've ever seen. So much drama. So much tension. It was just epic.

Second best one I've ever seen. I still think the best match I've ever seen was the '89 Chang vs. Lendl match. Unseeded Chang totally mind-screwed one of the most resilient players to ever play the game.

Tiger winning the US Open was amazing but I'd have to say this one tops it by just a little.

They just replaced the definition of "epic" in Funk and Wagnalls New Practical Standard Dictionary of the English Language, Vol. 1 & 2.

6/4, 6/4, 6/7, 6/7, 9/7 - Nadal
Roughly 4 3/4 hours of "elapsed" play.
Three rain delays, totaling 2 1/2 hours., stretching total time of event to nearly 7:45 hours, ending at roughly 9:15 pm London time, 15 mins shy of the "postponed for darkness" deadline.

I'm soooo glad I stuck with that for the duration. It was remarkable!

Disapointed I diddnt get to see this today, but happy Rafa won. I got nothing against Roger, but I find Nadal so much more entertaining to watch.

Best Matches I've seen:

Borg/McEnroe - that 5 set epic

Wilander/McEnroe - believe they went over 5 hours

Connors? Chang? That US open match when 38 year old Connors gutted one out

Those 3 stand out - missed yesterdays great match.

Sampras and Agassi had a few greats... especially that last Open final they had a few years ago.

Then the Sampras 5 setter in the Open when he was vomiting behind the baseline. I think it was against Corretja??

But yesterday's match is tough to beat.

I missed the finals for both the mens and women's matches this year. But from what I gather, both were some of the best tennis finals in a while.

The Venus and Serena match finally lived up to some of the hype.

And the men's finally outshined the women's matchup for the first time in years.

Really hate that I missed them.

To me, a very underrated match was the Blake v. Andre match at the US Open a couple years ago when it went into a 5th set tiebreaker. They were given a standing O in the middle of a set, that was classic.
