No love for Dances with Wolves...still love that movie.

What about The Cowboys with John Wayne....one of the better bad guys played by Bruce Dern in that one.

Not the biggest Western fan...although I like most of the Eastwood and Wayne movies....the other movies I like are more random...

The last of the Dogmen - kind of a modern day western

Jeremiah Johnson

Open Range

Django Unchained

The Quick and the Dead

Ravenous
Nice. Jeremiah Johnson. Great movie.

"The Good, The Bad and The Ugly".

Eli Wallach as Tuco is what sets that film ahead of the other Eastwood westerns.

Also luv "The Cowboys". Great film towards the end of JW's career. What kid watching that film couldn't envision himself on a cattle drive and shooting bad guys?

Greatly enjoy "Big Jake". Not often put down as one of JW's best movies but I thought (and still do) think it's a great film.

"Magnificent Seven" is very entertaining and I rate it highly.

I always enjoyed High Plains Drifter. Just classic Eastwood.

Definitely not the best ever. But a made for TV western that I always liked, and really enjoyed the concept. Purgatory.
It was not made for TV. All his movies
Went to the theater 1st.
He kept the budget low so they Always
made money.

Yes Tuco made that movie much better!
Also Lee Van cleef.
That was a Sergio Leone movie and was the only one that had top stars in it aside from Eastwood .
in Clint Eastwood movies he never had top Stars either it's just him usually and some character actors but in Unforgiven he had Gene Hackman and Richard Harris and Morgan Freeman and that was one of his better movies.
All 3 of those were what makes the movie so good.
CE. Was only good at the end.

Sorry I was talking about Purgatory, not high plains drifter. Unless you were talking about Purgatory which was a TNT film so I assume it went to tv first, but maybe not. I saw it years after it was made.
