And there you have it.

Easy, jackrussell. When I voted against Rice he had more than 4x the points as the #2. My vote against him said not that he wasn't the best ever, but that he wasn't more than four times better than the second best ever. I stand by that.

Maybe we have a different understanding of how this rating game works, but that was my thinking.

Maybe? You think? Considering I made the game up...there's a good chance I might know how it's supposed to work. And yes, you're vote against him does say he's not the best ever, because that's how the game was set up...it's an elimination game, not a rating game.

IMHO Hutson dominated more than any other WR before or since... look at his stats compared to others who played before him, with him, and after him...simply amazing

Rice wasn't always the best WR on the field in his prime...some years it was Irvin, Sharp or others...although Jerry was near the top...

Hutson on the other hand completely DOMINATED...Yards, TD's, Rec,...you name it... and the era when he did it in makes him again... imho... easily and simply the best WR the game of football has ever seen...Jerry would be 2nd

check these stats out by Hutson

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HutsDo00.htm

played in 116 games in his career which only 60 of them he started

caught 488balls for 7991 yards for a16.4yard per catch average and had 99 TD receptions....and this from 1935 - 1945 AMAZING

plus to add to his value he was a fine DB having 30 INTS and was a punter and kicker...

Sadly most of us if not all of us never got to see him play...so we have to go by what others have told us and the stats...
