I think people are going overboard with their criticism of the Patriots' defense. They gave up 17 points on defense, which is nothing to be ashamed of. I think they got outcoached and burned on some screen plays, but it just wasn't quite the disaster a lot of people seem to want to make it out to be.

I did not think the Pats defense looked great, yes they gave up 17 points. I did not say the Pats defense was awful but for most of the game they could not get close to Edwards and was having a hard time stopping the run.

My comment wasn't so much directed at you specifcally as it was just the overall statements I have seen made since the game... so I apologize if it seemed my remark was aimed at you specifically when it was meant to be more of a general observation.

Don't worry I was not offended by your comments at all. I just think with some new faces in the Pats lineup they did not look as disciplined in their assignments as they did in the past with a more vet club.
