I thought this was hilarious. (Or maybe I'm just in that kind of mood.)

Except it isn't true. Keith Richards died decades ago and then became the living dead.

Well technically yes.

:laugh2:

I feel the same way about my grandfather. The man is 75 years old and has been a chain smoker since he was 15, a semi-alcoholic since his mid-20s (has at least one drink a day and gets drunk about once a week), never exercises and according to his doctor is healthy for his age. He's never had cancer, cirrhosis, asthma or heart problems.

Some people just seem to live forever in spite of themselves.

And if he stopped smoking and drinking he'd keel over....no offense intended

I wouldn't doubt it. The alcohol withdrawel for a man his age can be very dangerous. His doctor told him that if he ever stops drinking not to do it cold turkey.

For most of my life everyone always tried to get him to stop, but at this point we've just accepted it (any damage that it would do has already been done and stopping now wouldn't do much to extend his life) and now have almost a morbid curiosity. I mean, I watched a triathlete die in the hospital last year from lung cancer at age 36, guy had never smoked a day in his life. It's crazy.
