He is getting beat down like a running back too. Won’t last long at this pace.

Even the God that is TJ Watt is starting to show cracks. Bumping with the big uglies 40 times a game will takes its toll. But I guess that is alright then we can complain how injury prone he has become....

Post game Parsons said he can rush but he can’t run bc of his groin; so if we don’t rush him, what do we do?

As long as D Law and Armstrong do what they are doing, the attention on #11 is fine....

If you own a Lamborghini. You don’t keep it in the garage. And when you drive it. You don’t slow roll down the road going 25 mph.

They played Micah at linebacker a lot yesterday. DE only on third down or long yardage.

Yup, I noticed and was very happy to see it. He was around the ball as a LBr and creating havoc as a pressure.

It should be like that every game. The run D looked better.

I thought the Cowboys did a great job last year in maximizing production out of Parsons due to his swiss army knife skill set. A lot of LBr in base downs and pass rusher in nickel / dime downs.

This year they are clearly playing him at DE a LOT more this year and I think they're playing with fire. He's a LBr that is a great pass rusher...he is not a great DE due to his size and limitations against the run. He isn't built for it. Opposing O's have already starting running right at him and their seeing a lot of success. We're giving up 5 yards per carry (tied for 4th worst in the league) and have given up 20 runs of 10+ yards.

Good teams with quality OLs are going to get the blueprint out for our defense IMO if we don't adjust.

i would have to see the All 22 sessions to see what he is locking up against on a down to down basis, and what scheme and alignment we are running.
Is Parsons more in a " Leo" role at the line ?
Is it looking more like a OLB edge in a 3 man look ?

So long as he is pass rushing vs an OT, and not locked up both vs the run and vs pass on an every down basis, i'd be ok with that.
With Marinelli, we played DWare as a full time 4-3 DE and the constant pounding vs 330 OTs wear and tore him down physically.

Plus we did not have the proper effective rotation guys that could give him a breather break and according to past players, Marinelli had a way of wearing down his
DL guys anyway, so that was a disaster too.

- Teams are gonna change their blocking scheme to chip and blindside Parsons more than ever.
Pre-snap, They want to see where he lines up, which side and direction, and have block plans already set specifically for him at Both ends of the ball.
He's gonna draw more and more TE double team help and RB chips more than ever.

- That's what " War Daddies" do.

-That's what coaches have to do. .. the better coaches know how to scheme design to free up their War Daddies (if they have one)
Parson, ..Donald.. TJ Watts.. Myles Garrett
Did we see Aaron Donald lined up outside as a DE on edges vs Tyler Smith ?

What will help Parsons mightily besides just great coaching ? ...Supporting cast

Attention to Parsons should free up lanes, and assignments for DLaw, Armstrong Fowler, Williams,
- The switches, adjustments, and help out won't come and be available, if they are so petrified about Parsons breaking loose.
