Better Fit For Dallas? Duke, Abdullah or Ajayi

Here are scouting reports on Duke Johnson, Ameer Abdullah and Jay Ajayi in relation to how they would fit for the Dallas Cowboys:

"Of the three running backs we are comparing today, (Ajayi) is the one I feel most comfortable in giving a big workload in year one of his rookie year. Good takes...I like Ajayi big time in our scheme but he might not be there by the 3rd or 4th round. (we obviously wouldn't take him before that) Secondly, I like Jeremy Langford of Michigan State. He's a little smaller, but faster than Ajayi. Third for me would be Cobb of Minnesota. He's a bruiser that runs hard

Agree. I'm not impressed with Abdullah. Randle had better college game footage.

It depends on what we're looking to do. If we're wanting a situational back Johnson or Abdullah seem like someone that could be very interesting. If we're wanting an every down guy Ajayi seems like a more likely choice. If we don't sign Murray I wouldn't be surprised to see us draft two backs, one early and one later. I just don't think you can trust Randle any more.

Look at his combine workouts...1st in 3 cone drill, 1st in broad and vertical jumps, 1st in 20 yard shuttle, and 4th highest amount of reps. He has elite quickness and explosion between the tackles and has the ability to reverse fields in the blink of an eye. I can't comment on the fumbles because I haven't seen enough of his fumbles to comment on how much of a problem they are or aren't.

He is good in the open field and will make DBs miss but I want a complete back if we draft one in the first 3 rds.

I really like him too, but....He fumbled a lot and has small hands. Think he fumbled 1 out of 36 carries in college if I remember correctly. Lead all running backs.

That's what I'm not getting. He was very productive at a big school for three years in a row as a complete back.

Fumble issues, I'll grant you. But this 'complete back' stuff is garbage. The guy is very good between the tackles.

Certainly better there than Murray appeared to be from college tape.
