As for the specifics. Parcells without Belichek is worthless. The word out of VR is that Parcells wouldnt allow his coordinators to try and do different things because he did not understand them. Belichek was the defensive innovator in that brain trust. The fact we NEVER ADJUSTED OUR COVERAGES even after offenses repeatedly exploited them shows this to be true.

Bradie James and Roy Williams were reapeatedly burned because Payton showed the league how to isolate them. Everyone wants to bash them but its just as much the coaching staffs fault for not changing assignments and allowing it to happen over and over again.

Wade Phillips OTOH has come in as a head coach and a DC repeatedly throughout his career without the limitation of relying on a particular coordinator. He most recently did this in SD and the stas do not lie. He did it in Buffalo Denver and everywhere else he has been. He also put up one the best pass rushes in recent years just last season. Odds are he can do it again.

I sincerely hope Wade does all that and more here. I just wanted to caution us that the grass isn't always greener and its very commonplace when a leader leaves to suddenly hear all the negative chatter about him/her which may or may not be true and is often out of context.

First of all, I am not a hard core conservative, liberal, Democrat, Republican or card carrying member of any political group. That being said, the Al Gore stuff is way off. He never claimed to have invented the internet. If you do a Google search, you will easily find that Al Gore never made such a claim.

The first time I heard of the internet and had the concept of what we now know as the internet explained to me, I was in college. It was Al Gore who was talking it up, but he called it the Information Super Highway. He was not Vice-President yet. Several years later, when he was VP, I remember mockingly asking him through the TV where his Information Super Highway was. A year or so later I had my answer. It was popping up everywhere.

Again, I'm not some Al Gore fan, but I did see an Inconvenient Truth just this passed weekend. Al Gore never said the planet is doomed. In fact, he said our problems with Global Warming are very much reversable.

For those who haven't seen it, the information presented is alarming and real. The downfall of the movie is the overly dramatic scenes of Gore looking out a window thinking, or talking. There are several of those in the movie. I think the movie would have been better received if all of those scenes had been deleted because no body should think the movie is even remotely about Al Gore, which it makes it seem.

While I am not an Al Gore fan or even a self-proclaimed liberal I am a fan of the internet and of being better stewards to our planet and I will listen openly to anyone who wants to promote either.
