He’s already good. If he takes a step forward the team will be even more busy with contracts.
I think Biadaz is already close if not at his ceiling. IMO, he’s a solid if not spectacular center. Definitely not Travis Frederick but glad he’s here. Will be interesting to see how he does this year in his last year on his rookie deal. It’s no guarantee he’s back with all the big contracts coming up with Diggs, Lamb, maybe Dak, and later Parsons.

I'm not saying he's a 1st team All Pro future Hall of Famer. He is designated a Pro Bowler and so what if he was 5th or 6th in line He was in line.

That makes him better than two thirds of the starting centers in the NFC and if you recall before the 2022 season, he wasn't considered a true starting center

And before anyone claims that isn't good enough then you missed the entire point of this thread. By his actions, Biadazs agrees which is why he worked so hard this offseason. He's going to be even better in 2023

He did take a serious step forward last season; he is a good starter NOW but that is all. He needs to take another serious step to be one we want to keep for a long time.
Kinda agree, but I'd replace 'good starter' with 'meh starter' who needs a serious step up.

For three years the Cowboys have been fairly stable at the center position. Since drafting Tyler Biadasz in the fourth round of the 2020 draft, he’s been a mainstay in middle of the Dallas line, making 37 starts (four games as a rookie).

Barring injury, Biadasz looks to anchor the offensive line for the Cowboys again in 2023. Aside from a handful of undrafted free agents, Dallas hasn’t brought in much competition for the 25-year-old Wisconsin product. But that doesn’t mean Biadasz’s future is secure.

While Biadasz has been fairly consistent and reliable throughout his time in Dallas, he hasn’t progressed as some might have hoped he would. Center play is admittedly difficult to grade because assignments and joint responsibilities can be tough to decipher, but generally speaking, Biadasz has been nothing better than average (PFF grades him well below average).

While just being an NFL starter should be seen as a wild success for a former Day 3 round pick, an average-to-below-average player isn’t necessarily someone who warrants a multi-year extension. Which is where Matt Farniok comes into play.

Farniok is the Cowboys super-utility interior lineman. He’s a coaching staff favorite who can play all three interior spots and should see a lot of preseason action in the coming weeks...

...Farniok probably isn’t a long-term option at center, but he can make the move away from Biadasz less scary in 2024. The Cowboys will likely want to start over at the center position and start developing a new prospect to keep things affordable and offer stability and upside.

From a health perspective, Jourdan Lewis (foot) is looking at opening camp on the physically unable to perform list. Terence Steele (knee) is not expected to be on PUP but Cowboys will be smart with him in return. Tony Pollard (ankle) will be good to go.

Over the past three years, Steele has developed himself into a good right tackle. The former undrafted free agent started his career on rocky road. Thrust into the starting lineup as a rookie, Steele looked like one of the worst tackles in the NFL (PFF graded him 76 out of 79 OTs).

But Steele put in the work and turned himself into, not only a viable NFL player, but a downright dominant run-blocker. In 2022 he was playing at peak levels. Together with Martin, the two Cowboys linemen were arguably the most effective run-blocking duos in the NFL.

If Steele is unable go full-speed at RT this summer, it temporarily simplifies things (not necessarily in a good way) for the Cowboys. Jerry Jones’ (panned) plan for Tyler Smith to play LT and Tyron Smith to play RT likely goes into effect, leaving the main competition to play out at LG.

Good point, he may only be decent, but in the CAP era, no team is full of stars.....the floor is as important as the ceiling. If he (and/or Steele) dont get re-signed how do we fill the O-line in 2024. The draft only goes so far (presuming we also need at least one Guard), that's 3 picks needed just on the O-Line.
