You can know football and be a bad coach.

Happens all the time. Not everyone can effectively communicate, time manage, lead other coaches and players. Football knowledge is maybe half of it.

You put waaaay to much emphasis on Mahomes. Sure he is the best in the league but he needed every bit of the coaching game plan he got this year from Eric and Andy. I would estimate 80% of the Tds he threw this year were gimmies...that were all scheme. That is a lot of gimmie tds.

To put Steichen in the same convo where he had a STACKED offense...is just ridiculous.

You are crazy if you think 80% of mahomes tds were games. And sure you can know football and be a bad coach. Ask every coach of the dolphins, bills, raiders, cards, browns, jets, of the past 20 years. That must cover about 35 head coaches. For some strange reason, all of those guys seemed to suck. I don't put too much emphasis on mahomes.....it is what it is. He is the sole reason for their success......PERIOD.

and? McNabb had a 5 year stretch where he was about as good as any qb in the NFC, so its not surprising that they went to a SB. Like I have always said, if you have the stud qb, youve got a good shot.... and Reid did. Reid currently has more than a stud qb, he has a generational talent that nobody with any nfl sense will deny.

Dude Andy Reid has taken some clown QBs over the years and made them look brilliant.

You are way off on this. He’s always been an elite coach. Just because the results didn’t come with Mahomes didn’t mean there wasn’t evidence everywhere that he was great.
