Two items not being discussed enough....

Scott Lineman knows exactly how to attack the Lions defense and he knows the weaknesses of Stafford and the Lions offensive players to pass along.

And Rod Marinelli has had faced Detroit twice a year for a long, long time.

That will matter Sunday.

Does Red give us anything in the advantage dept?

How about them knowing Linehan offense? Look at how the texans defense embarassed Kubiak's offense this season

Really?

He knows this how? Unless Linehan was in Baltimore with Teryl Austin last year, then he really has no idea about that defense.

Geez, Erod a little research or something dude.

Most of the Detroit staff is new, so really this thread is just misguided.

This is not Jim Schwartz's Lions defense, so Linehan does not have any particular advantage.

Same goes for giving Marinelli tips on the Lions offense.

I am sure he can help with little things here and there, but I do not think he has some magic book on the Lions across the board.

This idea is getting way overplayed.

I would expect that he might be able to provide us with tendencies or an inside look at things Stafford struggles with that might not be that apprent on film. Maybe tendencies with his cadence or some such.

Scheme-wise, though, I doubt anyone has asked for Linehan's help since their staff is so new.

Wait. This thread does have merit.

Back in 2001, Marinelli and Kiffin were on the Bucs staff. The QB coach that year was .... Jim Caldwell!

Ding. Ding. Ding. We have a match.

Clearly, they know his entire offensive philosophy and tendencies.

He will know strength and weakness of some players. But that's it. Nothing about schemes they will employ.
