People flew in from all over the country, it was crazy. I was on the 4 train (read, subway) heading up to the stadium from lower Manhattan and there were all kinds of people heading there that weren't even sure they were going the right direction! :laugh2:

It's funny. If you've been to New York, you can ride the subway with the same people every day and never say a word to them. If you are all heading to this concert? Everyone is blabbing to each other! :laugh2:

Just to note.

Songs that took over the crowd played by each band.

• Anthrax: I Am The Law
• Megadeth: Symphony of Destruction
• Slayer: War Ensemble
• Metallica: One

I will be the first to say that Metallica One is a great song, but it's one I *was* completely burnt out on. The radio and all guitarist I knew played it ALL THE FREAKING TIME!

But the combination of pyrotechnics, laser lights, and just straight performance, Metallica owned this song. It was easily the best song they played. Even above all the other songs I like better than One.

As for the other bands. I know songs I like as much or better, but these are the songs that owned the crowd and much more the FEEL of the crowd.

Absolute win. I rank this show up with scuba diving for the first time. ****ing blown away!
