I wonder where does he rank with David Wilson? I was under the impression Wilson was going to be the starter.
Brown was drafted by the New York Giants in the fourth round (129th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft. He suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon during training camp on August 14, which forced him to miss his rookie season. He was placed on injured reserve on September 1, 2009. Brown was waived by the Giants on September 4, 2010.
On November 25, he suffered a broken fibula in the fourth quarter on a Sunday Night Football game against the Green Bay Packers at MetLife Stadium, effectively ending his season. He ended the season, where he participated in 10 games, with 73 carries for 385 yards, with a 5.3 yard per carry average, after only 2 carries in the previous 3 seasons. He was eventually placed on injured reserve.
.Just a snap analysis, but their RB depth appears to be broken, wonder if it will fracture their playoff chances? Might have to reset their expectations.
Guess they will be running with a new cast of characters at RB to start the season.
This certainly compounds their other injury concerns.
Might give us a leg up.
Give the guy a break, he'll be back next year.
Trying too hard
I had more faith in Brown than Wilson. This is a huge blow. With Stevie Brown and Andre Brown out, I feel pretty bad for the season already.
By the way, the reason first team played in the Patriots game was due to offense not clicking so far in the preseason. Coughlin wanted to give 1st team offense more reps before season started.
We talking about the team that had like a gajillion injuries early in a season then went to win the superbowl? =p
Wilson's preseason: 24 carries for 179 yards (7.46 YPC), one touchdown, and seven receptions for 31 yards. I'd be a happy Cowboys fan any time Brown was in and Wilson was out based on their talent levels.
