Big Mac’s ideas about ball control this week

I think McCarthy is right. The old idea that the Cowboys can just run the ball controlling the clock is not feasible any more with this OL. That ship has probably sailed. We just need to be aggressive early and often.

From what I've read, this has been McCarthy's strategy all along. To establish a lead and then dictate gameflow to the opponent. Going with the running game later on, and allowing your pass rush to pin their ears back against a one-dimensional opponent.

I'm all for opening up this offense and passing the ball at will with the passing weapons we've got, but...

Seahag's Dline is injured and depleted. Weather calls for up to 80% chance of rain. Sounds more like a recipe to run the ball, control the clock and secure the football, instead of winging it and increasing chances of turnovers.

I also think Mac knows this is not the 2016 team that could just impose its will on D-lines. Being aggressive is what I’m expecting. They may need 40 again to win.

He's setting em up.

Smoke and mirrors. Mac is aware, as are we, that the best defense against Wilson is to keep the ball away from him. I expect a balanced attack against the hawks. Much can be learned from their game against the pats.

Vanilla is no longer “The official ice cream of the Dallas Cowboys”. Lol!

be careful what you ask for, Vanilla by Cowboys has beaten the Seahawks in the playoffs, if Seattle can run the ball and and win TOP, keep Dak on the sidelines we're in trouble.
we have to protect our defense, feed Zeke.

I don’t disagree with you, I’m just poking some fun at Coach Vanilla. At least now we can eat some butter pecan, chocolate and other ice cream flavors.

what? Weather Channel literally says it’s gonna be partly cloudy with a 10% chance of rain... where did this turbulent weather accusation come from?

SEA sucks vs the pass. Why play into their strength by trying to run the ball?

Your defense is gonna get shredded either way, might as well shred their weak pass defense too.

Agree with the Big Coach.

Yup, take them down with us if we're going to get gashed with our Pass D.

The best defense for a prolific QB and offense is keeping them off the field with a ball control offense pounding the rock. But if you can’t do that then have to score on every possession to keep them on their heels.

Traditionally in Dak era against these Elite teams we get down early and have to come back which Dak usually leads a heroic comeback that often comes up short.

Dak and our offense are much more effective playing with the lead.
