Big problem ahead if we do not develop QB

The Giants are set with Manning for many years and the team is pretty good and improving. We are getting better, but Bledsoe is NOT even close to what Manning will be. I like Bledsoe now, but we must start developing a QB or get someone like Schaub next year.

A real kicker would not hurt, as most NFL gamese are close today.

I like the way the rest of the team is developing.......

I like a few QBs on the market next year that could fill in here nicely. Bledsoe also gives us a chance to see what we have in Henson. I believe that next year will show the real Henson.

Henson is a long-term prospect who has as much physical ability as any QB out there. He also has great intelligence. We would be foolish to give up on him so early.

I really suspect the main problem outside of the layoff was the foolish decision to try and change his delivery. This was a mistake and likely responsible for his regression this year.

I'll give BP credit for his judgment on RBs, LBs and DLs. I remain very suspicious about this ability to judge QBs and think he has lost his marbles when it comes to OL for some reason.

If he is gong to stick around and cannot develop Henson, then we probably should just cut our losses and develop a future QB because Romo ain't it.

Henson will never be a starter anywhere. He is big, has a great arm, did well on the intelligence tests, but something is missing- he just does not have it!

Unless you have seen more of him than the rest of us I don't know how you can judge someone based on the little time he has played here. I can honestly say I don't know what he has. Mainly because I haven't seen enough of him.
Tell us what's missing? You can't because you haven't seen enough of him to justify your remarks.

Im glad your not our GM

BTW little early to declare Eli will be in the top 10-15 in many major QB statistical categories all time

I will never fear Eli OR his wandering eye.
He will never be as good as you guys think he will be.

Get Matt Schaub in here if u want a QB for the future.

If he can't even beat Romo for the #2 spot, what makes you think he's so wonderful? Obviously Parcells has seen what he can do, and he must not be too impressed. What has Henson really ever done in the NFL?

I'll be both shocked and amazed if Henson ever throws another pass in a regular season game, much less shows he's the next franchise QB.

Yeah, it's called coaching.

I don't think he's wonderful. I'm just tired of everyone bashing someone when they don't have enough information to make a sound judgement (including you).

I like what I've seen out of Romo but I've still never seen him in a regular season game. Not enough info.

How can anyone outside the organization evauate someone based on the limited information we have seen?

I asked the same question about Peerless Price. Do you think we would be better off now if we had integrated Price into a few more plays and given him some real game experience before the Crayton injury?

The difference here is, Henson couldn't even hold second string this preseason, and who knows if he will ever be effective with a new throwing motion being forced on him by the coaching staff. He looked a little awkward at times during preseason. Anyway, the coaches see these guys every day at practice, and we don't. All you can do is hope Parcells does what's best.

I don't dislike Henson, I would love to see him turn into a great QB. Romo as well. Let's face it though, Henson probably won't even get another shot until the next preseason. Romo will start off with the advantage there, rough road ahead for Drew II.

I think it's a stretch to say that Manning is better than Bledsoe right now.

I agree...he isnt

its also a stretch to say the Giants are pretty good and improving, they are kinda old in alot of places and are lacking in talent on defense
