Bigg to open Smashburger eateries

Cool. If I go to camp, I'll be coming in from the north on 281. hboy:

It's on 281 N and Stone Oak Parkway, before hitting 1604. You can't miss it as traffic comes to a crawl in that area on most days.

one opened here in San Antonio a few weeks ago. I went the week it opened.....I wasnt impressed with the Burger. for the gourmet price, I expect better. Now the italian style french fries were pretty tasty.

I checked the location for the one here in SA. It is way out there on North 281. For those of you coming to training camp, its about a 20 minute drive straight north from the Alamodome. in a heavily congested area.

But it maybe worth going. I'll wait til I'm in hte area, in the meantime I'll get my burger fix at Bobby J's. They have almost exactly the same menu, but is 5 minutes from my house.

Instead of going all that way.....Just go to Chris Madrid's. It is on Blanco about a football field away from Hildebrand. The Burgers are awesome.

Also, on Huebner between I-10 and Babcock there is the Hamburger Factory or Hamburger Warehouse. I hear it is really good.

Another place is on 1604 W just past the Blanco exit.....it is called Biggs. It is always packed. I hear the burgers are freakin awesome.

Yet another place....and there are 3 locations is Fatty's Burgers. There is one downtown, one on Nacogdoches by O'Conner, and finally FM 78 in front of Judson High School.

There is Bikini's Sports Bar on Fredricksburg near Wurzbach. The menu is limited and it is owned by a Steelers/Cubs fan....but the scenery is absolutely awesome.....just one cautionary note. The waitresses are very friendly and will come up to u and give autographs...they smell like strippers so.....if you don't want to upset your wives, might want to stay away from here.

Finally, there is a place called Buffalo's. It is over on 1604 and Bandera. A decent sized menu, a smoke free bar, cute waitresses, and the nacho platter is huge.


Out of all of those, and based on the proximity of the practices.......I say stick with Chris Madrid's. I promise that you will be satisfied.

my kids and their mom live in denver/boulder and have for about 3 years, I have never seen or heard of this place and I have been up there a ton.

That's wierd.

Do they sell liter cola?

No, but you can get a large Farva.

I'm in Denver too and I've never seen one up here. Maybe just the corp office is here...

I try to hit a Chester's when I can, but will have to try some of these others.

I hadn't seen that other location. The one on Blanco and 410 is not to far from training camp, and near where I work. I got to give it a try.

I just ate at a Smashburger last week actually. I ordered the Baja with an addition of bacon and a side of smash fries. It was all pretty good, but it's not going to be the best burger you've ever had or anything. It's a little pricey too; I think my order was $11 for the burger, fries and a $2 root beer.
