Problem is a team should not have to blitz to generate pressure if the only way you can get a pass rush is by blitzing your going to end up giving up some big plays down field.

I don't think he meant sending a fifth man, I think he meant sending the fourth(Ware). Since the Cardinals were running a three wide receiver set, Ware was in coverage on 1st and 2nd down rather than rushing. If it were the regular season the Cowboys would have went to the nickel when facing the 3 wideouts and Ware would have rushed as an end.

That was not the case through out the game yes there were some plays where we rushed only 3 but there were also occasions where we did send a 4th and 5th man and did not come close to getting a sack. Again I realize that this is just a pre-season game and not getting worked up over it just said I was a bit disappointed that they were unable to generate any pass rush against Warner.

Why is it a big surprize? The offensive line has been the Cowboys biggest problem since before Troy Aikman left. In fact the poor offensive line is much of the reason Troy had to retire. No surprize here. While I am more optimistic about the offensive line than I have been in years this is still the weakest link for the Cowboys and has a long way to go. Curly

I agree the 1st OL was a major disappointment and Tucker continuted the trend with the 2nd team, but another disappontment for me was Davis at FS. True he never got burned deep, but he wasn't around the ball a lot either. I'll give him some slack for caution, but I'm not sure he's the answer, nor am I sure the starting FS is on the roster right now.

I am concerned because I believe that Bill will start him regardless of the competition in the preseason....just like with Vinny last year.

O-Line, I can't even get past that to think about some other problems.
