...at least to the Texans. MAN, they put a lot of this stock in a rivalry that most Cowboys fans don't even recognize. I can't even remember the name of the (probably plastic) cup/trophy that is handed back and forth to the winner when the two temas play.

The Texans have to realize, WE have REAL rivalries. The Cowboys/Commanders rivalry is legandary! They are just looking for someone to hate. Of course they seem to have a few decent reasons to hate us...

1. We have been a very successful franchise while they have not had a winning season yet.

2. We both reside in Texas. We hold the hearts of many fans that would, geographically at least, be Texans fans.

3. We are the Cowboys. Everyone is either a big fan or despises us. We definitely are polarizing.

Anyway, if the Texans actually win Friday, take a look at their boards. You will think they won a divisional playoff game. This is actually really sucky. I would LOVE to be a Texans fan (at least they would hold my loyalty in the AFC). As a lover of thing Texas I would even travel down to a game or 2 each year. But the venom they harbor toward Cowboys fandom really turns me off.

I don't live far from Houston and the rivalry doesn't just exist in their minds towards the Cowboys but also towards Dallas.

It's large to them but you're right. They haven't had a winning season and for some strange reason consider the Cowboys a huge rival even though they only play every 4 years during the regular season.

It's really very funny. Lots of silly, silly stuff that's said the week they play the Cowboys.

While I would like to see a win more importantly is the team cutting down on mental mistakes and playing better than they have.

it started at my work lastnight. Texan fans coming in and talking smack about the cowboys when I had to be reminded that they were even playing the Texans this week.

It's been going on the past few weeks on Houston radio. They like to ***** about Hard Knocks all the time.

Yeah, I live in Houston and had a big party at my house this last weekend. When I couldn't find the game (Dallas vs Denver) on the NFL network, all my friends were saying "it's on channel 12" - they were talking about the friggin Texans!

Then they proceeded to razz me about "kickin' our ***" when Q-bong was our QB. So this Friday me and a few buddies are going to the game in Dallas to witness our victory in the "Governor's Cup" <--- Or that's what Texans fans call this game anyway.:laugh2:

Cowboys gameplan against the Texans should be easy. Just throw to the receiver that is being covered by Jacques Reeves. He had a piss poor game for them this past weekend and proved why the Cowboys dumped him.

The Texans is a pretty lame name for a football team. Why couldn't they just buy the Oilers name back from Bud Adams?

That was part of the agreement Bud Adams struck with the NFL and Houston didn't exactly fight hard for it.

we need to look sharp and make a statement on both sides this week. This will be our only chance to get ready for Cleveland and make sure that we are serious about the 2008 season.

I cant wait to see Flozell manhandle Mario Wiliams.

I'm sure CB Reeves thinks this is the biggest game of the year. And probably for Reeves, this will be the biggest game for him this year and for the Texans.

The Oiler uniforms were very nice. The NFL should've allowed Houston to retain the Oilers' colors, history, and name, just as it allowed Cleveland to retain the Browns name and legacy.
