I am willing to give Eb benefit of the doubt at this time. a bunch of cast offs nobody wanted and literally pile of crap every where else and we expect a decent defense. there is no magic wand for these players and 10 out of 11 need to be shipped out. I would actually consider getting rid of almost everyone and bringing in street FA and PS players from other teams. they would play more hungry.

The bottom line is this: how could players that played LBer in college simply forget how to fill, shed, and tackle? They look like they never played the position before!

To me— they look like a bunch of guys making business decisions out there. Playing safe and scared and unwilling to sacrifice their body to make a play.

That is on coaching— Schotty included of course. Bench guys who freelance or don’t play to scheme. Play the guys who play the game the right way.

It’s just bizarre that a LB “guru” is on staff but the unit looks this atrocious. Inexcusable

At this point, I would entertain poaching a few LBs off of other team's practice squads to see if they could play much worse. I'd rather have young guys playing hard for a paycheck then this current group who seem to be mentally checked out.

Totally agree. Churn the roster. Reward production. Demote underachievement

It is 100% because of the lack of a real GM.
 
We let some LB go when we had parsons. We are hurting at CB also. And running zone don’t help…

Before I say no. Did all the corners suddenly forget how to play? Why is it that no matter the DC we continue to have the exact same DL issues? Under quin things got better for about 1.5 years but they decided hankins was too expensive to bring back. I know the DL issues result from them wanting speed and to focus on creating pressure. But with zero gap integrity it's too easy to dump off or take off into wide open gaps for easy gains. These stupid coordinators who think speed is the only thing that matters from kiffen, marineli, quin had the same issue but adjusted, to eberflub. All Jerry guys who install what Jerry likes, fast players who can make splash plays but the problem is they are way too easy to counter. Look at the Green Bay game, Dallas didn't stop Micah, dak just got rid of the ball. Micah beat his man and it didn't matter every time.
