Surprise: How much the team is dependent on Tony.

Disappointment: First to worse.

Surprised....nothing really except a few players stepped that we knew needed time. Whitehead came on with some flashes. They found David Irving. Looks to be a keeper. The versatility of Jones. Collins on the OL, but that we all knew he would come around too.

Disappointments...the entire team...from players to coaches. Obviously Romo's and Dez's injuries has a big part of that.

So many disappointments. The biggest disappointment is the backup QB situation. It's so pathetic that other teams can find a way to win without their starter. And actually I'm going to add Garrett and Linehan to that. They should of found a way to make adjustments and get creative with their playcalling. They failed miserably this year. Biggest surprise is also bad. 14 games and the defense has 9 turnovers. Mitchell plays last week and gets the first interception of the year by a cornerback. I was surprised he held onto it. So tough to watch this team because they were in every game they played except for New England but the defense was good the first half. So many close calls with fumbles getting overturned or a penalty gets called after a big play. And I know that every team gets screwed on penalties but the Cowboys got hosed a bunch this year. The referees have been terrible all across the entire league. But I'm going total homer here and sayin that the Cowboys got screwed worse then anyone on terrible calls. Lets just hope that the Cowboys get it right in the draft and we can forget this horrible season

Don't know how anyone can pick Claiborne as a pleasant surprise when he's suffered through his 4th straight injury plagued season missing 3 games and still hasn't made an impact. He's been playing not to get beat all season and gave up a several underneath routes vs Seattle that helped them move into FG range in the final moments with the game on the line.

He got burned by DJack with 44 seconds left vs Washington that could have cost us that game. He hasn't had an int this season and had one pick in each of his first 3 seasons. This was his 4th season and we've gotten very little from a player who was drafted 6th overall. He's been a big part of the problem in the secondary and why we don't get turnovers.

My biggest surprise would be Lee still on the field with 2 games left most of us didn't think he would last to Dec. I'm also surprised at how well he's played coming off an entire missed season with an ACL. My biggest disappointment would be Dez he started pissing me off in training camp throwing punches at a teammate and inciting the brawl with the Rams during a joint practice. This was is his 6th season and he still hasn't matured.

He didn't look very good in the opener having to go to the locker room for an IV then proceeded to break his foot. He hasn't looked good since his return dropping passes and doing nothing but yapping at everyone. He had to go in for another IV last week probably from too much smack talking. Have to wonder if Jerry isn't regretting not making him play on the franchise tag again.

Surprise: Jones being an impact player so early. Seemed a little raw to me during draft season. Show's what I know

Disappointment: Wilcox. Looked like he was on his way to at least being a quality Safety but has been horrendous

Wilcox has always looked like crap to me.

Surprise
McFadden

The only thing that surprises me about him is that he hasn't suffered an injury that's kept him out of games. Most of us figured if he got enough carries he'll get some yards.

surprised to go from 12 and 4 to 4 and 12

disappointment the whole thing to fall this far shows that this is a bad team with bad coaching and fo.
That's what it says all right. The one bright spot has been the offensive line, which has been outstanding. And we have to give credit to those who built it. Anybody who says he likes what McFadden did, but is disappointed in the OL is disoriented and likely abusing some type of inhalant. If you're going to be working with adhesives or paint thinners, make sure it's in a well-ventilated area.

Anyway, my surprise continues to be that we were able to put together this kind of offensive line. Someone, somewhere is doing something right in this area.

Disappointment: how little the offensive minds on the sideline had to do with last year's offensive success on the field, and how obvious that became this year.

I know this is about players but have to include Garrett as another disappointment thought he might be coming around as a head coach after last season but regressed right back to what we saw during his first 3 seasons of playing not to lose. He continues to make coaching mistakes that are helping cost the team games.

When you add the loss of Murray's production along with Dez's missed games and how ineffective he's been since his return no surprise at all how inept the offense has been without Romo. It wasn't going to be as good with him with the running game and Dez not being what they were last season. We likely would have saw more performances from Romo like we saw vs Carolina with him pressing.

We might not have seen the pick-sixes but a lot of int's. In less than 4 games this season he had 7 int's only 2 fewer than he had in 15 games last season. His passer rating in the 4 games he played was only 79.4 which was worse than Brandon Weeden who has a 92.7 passer rating this season.

PFF has been giving the OL(minus Free) a ton of love this season. Smith, Frederick and Martin have been top 3 all season in their rankings. Collins has been around the 20 range, which is still pretty good for a rookie switching positions. All of these were ranked similarly in both pass/run grades as well. Impressive indeed.

Suprise - Lee not that he played great but that he stayed healthy.
Disapointment - HO with no salary cap for coach they should have over paid to get the best coaches Garrett and co. are mediocre at best
