I just don’t know how you can bring McCarthy back after today’s performance? I like the guy but there are some obvious good coaches out there unlike years past.
You may be right about BB but age has nothing to do with it. Having Tom Brady was Belichick's advantage in their glory days. I do think Belichick is a good manager, however. How that can help the Cowboys, I don't know since the front office isn't accountable for its failures. And his career winning % without Tom Brady is .460, and that includes 11 years worth of data so not a small sample size.
I just don’t understand the excitement surrounding him. In terms of consistent success directly attributable to a coach we really have no evidence he’s even on the level of Bill Parcells, who rebuild FOUR separate franchises and only once had anything resembling an elite quarterback.
Does that include his time in Cleveland or just in New England? I'm not saying you're wrong, btw. He's getting up there in age, and he has nothing to prove. I suspect he will simply not accept any HC offer and instead will just retire. And his career winning % without Tom Brady is .460, and that includes 11 years worth of data so not a small sample size.

Agree. It's not about the age. It's about desire, experience, and ability to build something that can win on the next level. Both Belichick or Caroll could potentially give you 5-6 great years.Andy Reid is 65.
And I remember how he left the Eagles, the same story now with Belichick.
I don't buy the ageism.
I agree the offense wouldn’t be as good passing wise…in the regular season. If Bill comes in, I can’t imagine how bad the offense would be. I don’t want Bill O’Brien any where near Dallas. Go get Harbaugh and be done with it. If MM is let go, Jerry won’t hire a coach that anyone wants…bet on that.
Well, we have an 81 year old GM who hired himself and hired his unqualified son. Why not at this point? I don't even care if they hire a fan out of the stands at this point. None of it matters.Yes bring in a 71 year old retread with a losing record and two unqualified sons on staff. Brilliant.

I like that idea.Mike MacDonald. Ravens DC, coached under both Harbaugh's.. young, Ravens culture in his head. I'll take it. We could use some Ravens in Dallas.
Don't forget - 72 yo Pete Carroll was shown the door by the Seahawks..And his career winning % without Tom Brady is .460, and that includes 11 years worth of data so not a small sample size.

MM is on a leash because Jerry runs everything and has all veto power. The country club culture is driven by Jerry. And his career winning % without Tom Brady is .460, and that includes 11 years worth of data so not a small sample size.
