And his career winning % without Tom Brady is .460, and that includes 11 years worth of data so not a small sample size.

I just don’t understand the excitement surrounding him. In terms of consistent success directly attributable to a coach we really have no evidence he’s even on the level of Bill Parcells, who rebuild FOUR separate franchises and only once had anything resembling an elite quarterback.
Because he’s a big name for fans of a fan base who haven’t won in an extremely long time. He’s 100% past his prime and not the coach he used to be.

This fanbase is desperate for a HC that is strong enough to change the toxic culture that Jerry has propagated in Dallas.

Belichick would deliver a lot of hype and a bunch of nothing. Seems like just the kind of move Jerry would do, and too many fans would buy into it.

Then a year from now they'd be dumbfounded that it happened again.
Parcells Act II coming up.

Bill's mistake was not giving Brady the proper credit after their last SB win.
It was a low scoring game, but the Pats just got lazy on how clutch/driven Brady was.

Bill isn't some genius batting 1.00 and he shouldn't have full control of GM duties. Outside of the Cowboys/Saints beatdowns he did have a respectable defense. Just that the offense was neglected for far too long as there was major regression by Mac Jones.

My only concern with Bill would be who his OC would be. Defensively, I would feel at ease with Bill game planning with Parsons, Diggs, Bland, and Law as the "core".

there is no HC like that, because any HC that would be hired by the Cowboys is going to be neutered and overridden by Jerry's micromanagement.
You sir are unfortunately probably correct.
Jimmy and Parcells could only take it for a few seasons.
We are probably screwed until Jerry moves on.

It would likely be more like the Parcells era. No notable post-season success. AT ALL. Vrabel's team avg 17.9 ppg and he was fighting with the front office in a power struggle.

The only guy that you could bring in would be Harbaugh, but front office issues was the reason why he was ousted in San Francisco. Probably none of these three names currently being mentioned could work with the Jones clan. And if they make concessions then what are you really getting in the end?

At this point I wouldn't care if Prescott, Lamb, Parsons, Quinn, McCarthy...all of them were gone. That is my current level of fkg disgust.

As long as he's not the GM. That's been his downfall. He's drafted horribly. While as much as we clown S.Jones, his staff has drafted well. 9 All Pros this season.

Andy Reid is 65.

And I remember how he left the Eagles, the same story now with Belichick.

I don't buy the ageism.
Andy Reid was 53 when Kansas City hired him, and he won 10+ games almost every year leading up to that with McNabb and Vick. Not even remotely the same thing.

If we sign Bill, we will go with the same team, because he will not want to go with a rebuild at his age and medaling GM/Owner, Jerry. Tough decision need to be made soon on the directions of this team.

The defense will need to be rebuilt through draft, free agency into a 3-4 based scheme

Defense wins championships, but you still need to score points. This slanderous narrative about the Patriot dynasty being all Brady is absurd. Brady played 20 seasons in NE and had a top 10 defense in 17 of them. Defense is what Belechek does………. Just like Jimmy Johnson and Bill Parcels.
