I agree, but run from 3 wides instead of tight formations. We're just so much better when we do.

I agree. If he's going to run in those situations that's fine. But at least give the other team something to think about. He makes it so obvious. And even if he did a play action or some kind of pass, with that formation there aren't many options so there's a good chance it's covered up.

This is the thing with Parcells...

I think he is a great evaluator of talent for the most part, and he does an excellent job of making decent, hardworking guys great players. But I still think Parcells is one of the worst coaches in the league. Why?

Mainly because of pride. Parcells has excelled at 3 other coaching spots, so he thinks he has everything figured out. It is his way or the highway, he has a hard time admitting that he might be wrong.

He does a horrible job of making adjustments during the game...Bledsoe was getting killed when we went empty backfield yet we did it a few more times with horrible success after that. Bledsoe was getting nailed right up the middle trying to get away from center, but do they go shotgun? Hell no, that would make too much sense.

The Eagles didn't show a single time this game that they could just drive down the field on us, so what do we do? We run a CB blitz leaving our rookie safety all alone on a receiver, and that leads to an 80+ yard TD.

And even though everyone except Parcells knew that Vinny wasn't going to do anything for this team back in 2004, what does he do? He sticks with him the entire season and possibly completely ruins the confidence of Henson by sticking him in one half and pulling him, mainly because Parcells loves 'his guys'. And now that Bledsoe has had two three-INT games and has played horribly in both, and his play has basically lost us both games, will Parcells do anything about it? No, because it would be admitting that he was wrong, that 'his guy' wasn't up to snuff.

Parcells is one of the worst coaches in football because he is afraid to say he was wrong, and that stops the team from making crucial changes.

what are you talking about? You think Parcells coaches Bledsoe to underthrow balls? You think he coaches the safeties to bite on a double move and get burned deep? You think Parcells hasn't told Drew to get rid of the ball quickly when a blitz is coming? Drew can't do it and it is time to give Romo a shot.

This game was totally about performance. It is just lame scapegoating to put this one on Bill. Guys got beat, guys made mistakes.

We played a close game against a solid team and had a chance to go to OT on the road against the most hostile crowd any team will face this year. Parcells did well to keep the team focused despite distractions.

And we didn't go to shotgun much because the stadium was so damn noisy - of course had we there would have been a ton of false starts and you'd be blaming Bill for that as well.

no second half adjustments, predictable run plays, vanilla defense. i guess bp had nothing to do with that. Yes our stupid qb blew the game however our stupid coach is still a dinosaur and will never win a superbowl here. the game has passed him. does the head coach have the responsibility of changing our offensive schemes to stop a team that we should have destroyed through the air from blitzing the life out of our piece of ****

Exactly, it's not Parcells' fault that Watkins bit like Mike Tyson. It's not his fault that Roy lost the ball in the air and couldn't make the INT. It's not his fault that Fasano misses a block on 3rd and 1 in the 3rd quarter, causing them to miss a first down. Playcalling seemed vanilla, but don't forget how good the Eagles D is. Now, Parcells definately deserves some of the blame, but hes still a great coach.

I normally don't complain about Parcells, but i don't like the way he is handling the offensive coaching structure. We don't have an OC. This may be part of the reason why we don't seem to adjust quickly enough. Like many have said, we knew Philly was going to bring the heat, yet we seemed confused out there. That is just as much coaching and play design, as it is execution.
