No way this is his last year, especially if we get a playoff birth, with a CAR or WSH loss on Sunday, and we WIN a playoff game. Even if we do get a birth and dont win a playoff game, he has given us two 10-6 seasons in his three years coaching Dallas, why in the world would we want to get rid of that?!?

I think that BP will have coached his last game for the Dallas Cowboys against St. Louis.

To me he looks like a man that is getting ready to go. Maybe he should just go. We need to move forward.

This whole "I didnt yell at team after Wash loss because they were feeling bad enough already from everyone else making them feel bad"

Come on... the old BP would have started yelling months, years ago... he is not the same and neither is the NFL.

We need to get back! Back in Black. Back to the top!

I sure hope not......BP is one draft and FA signing period away from having this team ready for a SB imo!

I say no way BP retires. I do think the only reason he could is like what Sarge said. The loss of his bro mighta just might be to much for him. That would be the only reason.

If we finish 10-6 and no matter if we make the playoffs or not I think BP will be back and maybe extend the contract. Alota us in here think we are this coming off season away from being Super Bowl contenders and I think he sees that to.

Parcells will leave Dallas with at least making us the only team to win 6 Super Bowls...maybe 7 Super Bowls.

And who is going to lead this team? Not going to happen.

Hey Dopey I Know Its Christmas , Dont You Think Not Yelling The Players Worked , They Probably Came Out And Played There Best Game Of The Season On The Road In A Hostile Crowd Against A Very Good Panthers Unit.

What You Said Makes No Sense, Then Again Alot Of People On This Board Make Much Sense

The loss of his brother no doubt has taken it's toll on BP. I think if he has some time off in the off season, he will probably find a way to cope with it better.

The team has so many rookies this year, I think BP is ready for 1 more go around. Jones looked like the player we all think he can be yesterday, against a very good Defense. That alone has to get BP excited.

I think he plays out his contract. This team could be very special next year. Once the rookies get in their groove, Henry comes back 100%, this defense will be VERY good next year. IF we shore up the O-Line a bit, maybe get a fast young WR, this team could make a SB run.

BP is back for 1 more season, bank on it

Yep, I agree wholeheartedly. Parcells will honor his contract, and if we do well next year, he may even sign that extension that Jerry is wanting to get done.

Wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit. I agree about the Super Bowl run next year. We should definitely be out from the shadows of the middle of the pack teams and moving up towards being one of the better teams in the league.

There were other factors going on to him quitting at his other teams. At NYG, he had some serious health issues. At NE, you had an ingrate obnoxious owner in Robert Kraft take over the team. Parcells was probably a bit over-offended by Kraft's ways, but considering where that team was and where he got them to, the Patriots should've been kissing his feet. Hell, they should be grateful for Parcells to this day.

The same thing was happening at the Jets and Parcells had seen that scenario play out before and wasn't ready to have it happen to him again.

So really, he's not quitting for some unknown reasons if he does happen to quit. Most likely it's because of change of ownership (which doesn't appear to be happening anytime soon) or health reasons.

Rich.........

He spent all week talking about how much he liked this team. He spent most of the time after this game giving the players credit.

He didn't put a ton of rookies into the lineup last offseason to 1 and done it.

Again, this is all wishful thinking on your part.

yeah, Parcells' really looking like he wants to leave

and by God, there should be some hand-wringing even suggesting that thought of Parcells leaving us

I don't know what is meant exactly by the phrase "we need to get back..."

Does this mean to get back to the days of Campo?

Does this mean to get back to the 5-11 days?

Or does it mean to get back to the championship days of Landry and Jimmy?
If that is what is meant then who is going to do that for us?

We have only had three coaches: Landry, Jimmy and Parcells and you want to get rid of Parcells? I can't figure it.
