Billboard...

Myself and some other guys on another message board are seriously talking about trying to get together enough money to rent a billboard in Dallas to protest Jerry Jones. Myself personally will take whatever money I normally would have spent on tickets and merchandise next year and put it towards this venture.

I'm sick of his fake football knowledge, and thinking he knows how to run a football team. The billboard would state something similar. He has to know that a big part of the Cowboys fanbase is tired of this silly rollercoaster he calls a team.

If we can get just 1,000 Cowboy fans to do the same as I and some others want to, we can easily pool the money needed to get such a thing in place.

Anybody interested?

Just save yourselves the time trouble and just have those 1000 people rip their money up and toss it in the trash can. Better yet, just send it on over to me.

Any of those options, including the billboard, will have about the same result for the destiny of the Cowboys: Zilch.

If you can get one close to VR that Jones will see every day (or close to his home) maybe it would mean a little something. Otherwise I think you are spinning your wheels.

A guy with 18 posts walks in on people in despair and asks them to give him money to help their pain. Sounds like a good scam, and it's Sunday to boot. Thanks but no thanks.

Paying athletes millions of dollars, building Billion dollars stadiums.
Why do you care if they want to protest something? Do you volunteer and help the homeless or just bash people on sports boards????

It wouldn't work anyway. Jerry would just buy the land that the billboard sits on and then bulldoze the structure.

Actually I do, plus I help with toys for Tots in our area. What do you do?
And most of those Athletes have charities they work with.

Good for you, I do too. But I don't bag on people for having an idea. You should save that stuff for the help the homeless message boards.....

They would depend on how many fans are dedicated to this.

I will put in what I would normally spend on my one to two tickets a year, parking pass, and whatever paraphenalia I would normally buy. Around $300.

As far as the money goes, it can be pooled into a general account. I don't expect to take the money as no one on this board knows me, but we could figure something out. Nothing will change on this team until Jerry sees it might hit him in the pocketbook.

And yes, one close to VR would be perfect.

Do you think Jones would care? He's going to sell out the Stadium as he always has. he's going to be on or near the top selling franchise in all of sports like he always has. You could put up a million billboards.

Why not put that money some where useful? Why not do some good using the Cowboy fans label?

Maybe we could pay Cowboy Chris to stand on top of it and yell at Jerruh every day.

Jerry should've replaced himself years ago. He doesn't care what the fans think, it's all about himself. If I knew a billboard would make him step down I'd put up the money myself.

Unfortunately with Jerry this is his little toy and he'd rather run it into the ground his way than win a championship with someone else in control.

Jerry would probably just glance at the billboard, stick his proverbial middle finger up to the fans, and then become more entrenched trying to do it "his way."

Maybe because that was not what the post was about. If you want to start a fundraiser then start a thread and see where it goes. Good Luck
