Just how many of our BIG FA signings have really worked out?
Haley for sure.
Deion I guess. After that?

um dude lets be honest, Brandon Carr was the first top player at his position in FA that the Cowboys have signed in a long time.. T.O. was another, in your words "BIG" FA.. I guess you could say Leonard Davis & he had some solid seasons. T.O. was a 1,000 yard WR all 3 years with 38 TD's, but I guess you would argue his "cancer" status.

If the Cowboys get a deal done with Romo before March 12th, they would be able to go after at least 1 top FA this year if so they choose. Andy Levitre is the guy I go after if the Cowboys decide to be players in FA.

The consistently good teams don't ever make frequent big splashes in free agency. We're better off shopping from the bargain bin and getting good value players instead. We don't need 2011's Mario Williams or 2010's Dunta Robinson on this team to get better.

I don't disagree with that at all. I've always felt you build thru the draft and you fill holes with FAs. You just have to be judicious about your spending.

is this a multi-step process or the shotgun approach?

so will you tell us to expect an 8-8 season now or hold it for after the draft/lackluster FA

to pre-empt the moaning, you know?

i thought that stephen jones said that we have (or can create) the cap room to sign anyone we want
hence, anyone we dont sign is someone we dont feel we need, no?
or is he lying?

i guess i never understood why it is a sign of true fandom to expect poor personnel decisions and a mediocre performance year after year?

must have missed that memo

No..You didn't miss it.

You just love to complain and whine out loud for attention, over any and everything.

Boohoo, De cowboys will be 8-8 again....

Get a hold of yourself, you sound pathetic

to each his own i guess

i think that the fans of a team that has a track record of making poor personnel decisions and underachieving on the field have the right to complain if they see "more of the same"

i wont get into the whole jerry jones thing here for obvious reasons

:lmao2:

I'd have to say that anybody who didn't know this was coming is completely delusional :laugh2:

That does mean that there's a chance Levitre hits the open market though...which would make T and not G the priority in the draft.

It would be nice if we pulled off another Laroi Glover type signing.

Guy that we got for cheap and more than paid off. One of the better FA signings we made over the years (people may laugh at that but I do believe that).

I agree.

the glover signing Brain brought up was a good one. Bigg Davis was good for us for a few years. TO was a good signing on his first contract. We shouldn't have signed him to a second contract.

Yes, Bigg played well for us, but in retrospect we WAY overpaid for a GUARD. :)
