I dunno, but Dallas made Thurman Thomas look like a modern day Eddie George. He was completely shut down.

The Bills team of the early 90s never gets enough credit. I don't know if it was because they lost four Super Bowls or people can't get "52-17" out of their heads. They were a damn good team!!
Agreed. If anyone tells me they weren't nervous before that Super Bowl they are either a liar or an idiot. That team could have won the game. It was our day to reign.

I disagree...we could have played them 10 times and won 9 or 10 of them...they were a very good team but we were alot better

their 90 and 91 teams were the best of their four AFC Championship teams...they lost to us and Commanders because we (and the Skins) were alot better than they were...the Giants were flat out lucky to win against the Bills though

The Bills would kick the Iggles ***. I'd love to see that game.

I can't argue with that -- it's opinionated! But using your same concept, if the Bills of yester-year could beat the Eagles of today's gluteus maximus, then what do you think tey would do to the Cowbozoys 2000 - 2004 team? Lol! BTW, I would not want to see that game!

If you remember, I believe we were behind early in the game...even had a punt blocked. And weren't we actually behind at half time too?

I don't know why, but the Bills just inploded for what ever reason. If they had not...who knows.

Usually I like your passion for your team, but since we are talking history, what would any other team do against all those Eagle team that were not the 2000 through 2004 teams?

Well, we don't have to guess, since it is fact...The Eagle lost way more than they have ever won...including your run of resent years...Your team has an all time lossing record and will not even see .500 in your life time.

And thank gosh, I didn't have to see all those horrid games...what a depressing thought it is to be an Eagle fan...LOL

OK the Bills would easily win those games. But so what? I mean, what is the point?

Did you just get finished "Not" answering my question? Here it is again ...then what do you think the Bills would do to the Cowboys 2000 - 2004 team?

The Bill's were better at EVERY position on both sides of the ball. If they played 10 times, the Bill's would make a clean sweep by an average score of 31-13. It's nothing against the the eagles or bias towards the bills, its just what WOULD have happened if you honestly look at the talent level of both teams. That's all, end of conversation, next question...

First of all it is about Bills and Eagles more than Bills and Cowboys.

I agree with you to an extent that we were a better team, but we did not know that going into SB XXVII. Coming out of it, and especially after XXVIII I would be supremely confident you are right. Going in, not near as sure.

I think that Bills team was better than the Patriots of the last 4 years. The salary cap era has weakened teams in my opinion.

the first game they blocked a punt and scored a td after a blown 3rd down def holding call on Robert Jones...after that we blew them out...

we were down 13-6 I think at the half of the 2nd super bowl, but we totally destroyed them in the 2nd half...Aikman played this game despite suffering a major concussion the week before (there wasnt two between that NFC Champ and super bowl)...later JJ said most QB's would have missed 3-4 weeks with the kind of concussion Aikman had...

It's pretty obvious that the Bills of the '90s are superior to the recent Patriots.
I really think they were. One of the things that validates those Cowboys as a great team was the caliber of those 2 Bills teams as well as the caliber of the 49ers at that time. We beat the best the NFL had to offer and did it soundly.

both of them pulled the ultimate choke job of the decade.

I have to disagree. The oilers pulled the biggest choke in NFL history (yankees had the biggest choke in sports history last year! LOL). But thats just my opinion.

I agree, The Bills team was better than the recent Pats team.
Also agree salary cap did this.
The salary cap is the reason why any team can be in the playoffs from year to year.
I always felt that back in the early ninties it was to Dallas advantage playing in a tough division. Remember in those years som team from our dividion was always winning the Super Bowl whether it be the Giants , Skins or The Boys, sorry Eagles. I thought since they played the toughest teams it got them prepared better for the playoffs than the Bills could be .Kind of like the the better challenged at practice the more complete player you should be.
