If Melo gets traded to NJ and signs an extension, feel free to bump this thread or give me a few hours incase I'm not by a computer and I'll bump this thread, but you are dellusional if you think melo will sign an extension with the Nets just to avoid the new CBA (which may decrease player salaries across the board, which would mean he gets the same money).
For melo to even consider signing the extension, you guys will need to be in a position to compete with Miami, Orlando, Boston and Chicago next year. Add Melo to NJ, even if you keep Favors and Lopez and that's not enough. Trade them and bring in averege role players (Al Harrington and Richard Hamilton) and that won't be enough. Again I still maintain NJ may rent Melo for a year, if they can keep Favors, Lopez and Harris, but unless NJ has a big turn around and they can convince Melo that they can get CPaul in a trade, there's no reason for him not to bolt to NY, Chicago, Orlando (not possible w/o a S&T) or even New Orleans (Probably need a S&T as well).
