Our special teams have just been terrible this year. If there is anything that will cause us to lose against the Eagles, and thus not win this division, it would be our special teams versus their special teams...

Not sure what happened between this year and last year.

Actually, Harris has received some good press for his play on kick coverage. He hasn't been doing much running kicks back, but it is probably reasonable to suspect that with the overall level of our special teams being not so good this year, the blocking on kick returns has suffered too.

I was concerned about the transition. Seemed like we had it under control but couldn't/didn't retain Decamillis. Everything was fine last year, but at the same time it usually takes a year or so for the problems to show up-- usually personnel drive .

Didn't Bisaccia come from San Diego where there special teams were just laughably bad a couple of years back?

I think your on the money in terms of what to be most concerned about in match-up with Eagles. I did hear Broddius talk about how Bisaccia is not a fun guy to be around right now because he knows things are not right on special teams. Usually by this point if it hasn't been cleaned up it won't until off-season. He is definitely on hot seat here on in.

I find it odd that the success of this special teams group has decreased in just one season. I can't say they've been atrocious, but Harris certainly hasn't been able to break any this year. I would need to look at the stats, but just based on observation they are below-average in my opinion. I just don't get how this changes from one year to the next.

Harris isn't playing as great as last year but he is not the problem. The blocking from his wedge blockers? have been awful all season. they hesitate/ miss blocks and have been driven back into him with nowhere to go. lastly, he's still the best gunner on the team. just go watch who was the first player to go after the fumbled punt against the jaguars

the linebacker they brought in yesterday was for special teams purposes.

people blaming harris aren't watching the plays develop. blocking has been terrible all year for him.

It seems like half of our backups are special team aces. Our special teams should be the best in the league and they're a joke. What good is having the most accurate kicker in the NFL if they get blocked.

Total sarcasm on my part to blame it all on Harris. Just seems there is a thread every week looking to replace him because his returns are not what they were last year. Seems ST as a whole is not what it was last year.

Special teams isn't going to decide the division.

It really could be the difference.....look at how the blocked FG's, botched punts have changed Cowboys games already, then add in Darren Sproles........plus it the dreaded December run for the playoffs... it will be interesting.....

Is it the coach, or lack of effort from the players?

On the blocked punt, former Cowboy Toomer let the guy go right by him. On one of the blocked field goals Hanna just let his guy run by him on the outside.

I actually think the bye is a good time to get that cleaned up.
