Should be a link towards top about black Friday deals. You can click on the ad. Roku Ultra with remote and JBL earbuds... Normally $99.00 on sale for $48.00 basically half off. I think you can do the deal online as well instead of going into the store but you will need to make sure on that.

That's ($99) the same price it is on their main website. Actually, these days I'm not even sure that is a special price now. I paid like $120 for my first one (I have 3 ultras now), but I think they maybe $99 normally these days, though I haven't bought one in a while to know for sure.

EDIT: $85.39 at Amazon That's almost a $15 savings.

I’m not too familiar with Roku Ultras. I have fire sticks. What do they offer?

Napped a QNAP TS-451+ ($280, regularly, close to $400) plus 16GB of Crucial memory ($80) to upgrade it for max memory for less than the normal price for the QNAP TS-451+ with only 2GB of memory. (if you do this, ensure you get memory known to work. Also QNAP only offcially supports 8GBs, but many people have already proven it supports up to 16GB)

The 16GB is only necessary if you plan to run virtual machines on it also, otherwise the max 8GB is easily enough.

I will just use the (4) 2TB enterprise drives in my old home built NAS server for this QNAP.

That's two great deals I've landed thus far between this and the Roku Ultras for $50 each. :)

Is there a reason why you like QNAP over Synology? I have no opinion on either, was just curious.

I fell for stupid Black Friday shopping tonight with some family members. Truth be told, the crowds weren't THAT bad tonight. I have a feeling tomorrow could be crazy though.

For a long time I was going to buy a Synology, but after reading reviews (product and consumer) it seem to me that the QNAP was closer to an enterprise level software than Synology and the virtual server stuff seemed more solid.

Other than that. I originally was going to go with Synology. The funny thing is, I bought this though I still fully intend on building another KVM server. (we just upgraded a bunch of 24 core 128GB Dell servers from a KVM cluster to VMWare vSAN cluster at work, so have a bunch of them laying around)

I just have to run some ethernet to the basement as there is no way a loud server like that will sit in my house lol.
