Black Friday

Already on the news there are reports of people camping out at stores waiting for the sales on Friday. I am sorry, but the only way I would camp out in front of a store for several days was if I was hungry and they were GIVING away food. WAiting four days in the cold, rain, heat, or whaterve for a great deal on a digital camera is insane. There is nothing short of life services that would ever get me to do that. I would not even get up early on the mornign of the sale to beat it down there.

MY comfort is worth more to me than 10 bucks I would save. Incredible what some people do. I think some people do that kind of stuff just for the attention. Crazy times....

I'm going shopping, but only to a few places. Walmart and Best Buy. Possibly Kohls and Circuit City. Depends on what my Mom is feeling up to. Don't want to wear her out.

I know. The only things I want from them are CDs. I can't afford much else.

Both Circuit City and Best Buy have CDs and DVDs ridiculously cheap.

They have. I've been trolling theblackfriday.com site and alot of places have online-only sales AND some of the sales start Thursday instead of Friday.

Unfortunately, I just had to endure Wal-mart for Thanksgiving stuff Because my payroll didn't go on until this morning... what a mad house.

The Monday following "Black Friday" is typically known as "Cyber Monday", because thats when the best deals online are supposed to happen.
Go to www.fatwallet .com,and click on the Black Friday section for a list of all the known BF ads.

Best Buy is not going out of business. In fact, thier dominance in the electronics industry is a big factor in Circuit City's bankruptcy filing.

However, Best Buy has projected lowered sales revenue this quarter from 5-15% (which is quite significant) In this type of market, it doesn't bode well for Circuit City, which is trying to restructure their company.But if they can't make enough revenue.... then who
knows?

Depressed sales led to the demise of Compusa, Circuit City may follow as well.

The CC here that is closing has their Blu-Ray movies at 30% off. Still expensive. They don't have much that's new either.

Our version of Friday is Boxing Day, December 26. My wife and I always put on the body armour and go out to fight the crowds. It's good bonding for the two of us.

the only thing that matters about friday is it's my birthday. so, while you all are arguing over what the best deals are, I'll be at work having a wine tasting complete with ham, turkey, cheese, and other stuff. then, I'll go to a bar and sing some karaoke.
