Not many Cowboys fans, or players for that matter, thought that the Cowboys would be sitting at home right now. The Super Bowl will be played in Jerry World in Dallas and a countless number of pundits picked the ‘Boys to make it to the NFL’s biggest game in February: The Super Bowl.

However Dallas failed to live up to expectations, fired its coach, and finished the season at 6-10.

Now Dallas has an opportunity to improve its team via the draft as the team has the ninth pick.

But what position should the Cowboys tackle? Should Dallas draft an offensive lineman in an effort to replace Leonard Davis or Marc Colombo? Maybe they should go after a cornerback after the secondary played so bad this past season. Either way, Dallas has a lot of work to do this off-season.

Here are 10 players new Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett should target for the Cowboys.....

Marvin Austin, DT, North Carolina

Ahmad Black, CB, Florida

I was gonna say the same thing, ridiculous title. Oh the ego.

As far as the names, I think they are pretty much in line with players I had us going after except for Marvin Austin. I liked him early on but had a hard time thinking where he'd fit in here.

I gotta say though, with all the Prince love I've seen and people calling Peterson the best CB of the decade and Prince a close second, you would expect him to be a little more.. spectacular. I dunno, maybe I just don't have a good handle on CB's.

He mentioned that the Cowboys had the 9th pick, but I assume he's not saying we would take all of those guys at 9. I sure hope not anyway.

Otherwise, the list is not too bad if those guys are taken where most currently think they should be.

Bleacher Report is just a collection of volunteer writers who know more or less than anyone else. Usually, you get what you pay for, but occassionally someone will write something worthwhile. Anyone here could have written this obviously.

Being lied to? How about needing to be spoon fed...as the authorship intended the list to show players that could well fill roles. Not a gameplan necessary to acquire the specific players. Obviously, all of the mentioned players are NOT targeted for a nine slot in the draft. But that is streining the gnats and swallowing the cammel for hypocracy reasons.
