I'm really excited, this was a monster win that pretty much offsets the deadskin miracle earlier in the year.

My only concern would be the offensive line, I hope they can get back on track after this game and give Bledsoe time so we don't have to play these 'cardiac' cowboy games every week the rest of the season. I think we'll be ok....now the question is do we want the eagles to rebound and beat the midgets next week????
Absolutely! I hope the eagles give the skins and giants fits the rest of the way.

Bledsoe also threw a perfect touchdown pass to Glenn who had split the defenders and was wide open. Unfortunately, Glenn didn't know the ball was coming and he slowed down. By the time he saw the ball it was too late. Sports Center said that Bledsoe overthrew Glenn. The truth is that it would have been a touchdown if Glenn had kep running. Fortunately Terry made up for it a few minutes later.

...Glenn took a hand chuck from the defender and it threw him off his route. Penalty in my rule book.

All Bledsoe has done is throw great passes over the course of his career, yet he's still bashed by a lot of fans around the nfl for being a 'statue'. When you think back to his days in buffalo, and the Pre Tom Brady era in new england, he has accomplished a lot with very little talent around him. Now he's on a team built for his style of offense: quick hitting runs, and the vertical passing game. It's time we really open the offense in the second half of the season.

The O-line needs to play better. Bledsoe only made one mistake - the INT other than that I blame the O-line. WE left Philly with a close one - I wonder how many Cowboy fans had to wait until all the Eagles fans left the game. Didn't see too many Cowboy fans there - but I'm sure we had a few.

... a fact. One Parcells has to live with and work with. For the better part of the season he has done well.

The biggest criticism I have Bledsoe today is there wasn't much available to him in the Philly secondary. Those two key missed passes to Glenn were going to be a critical part of the loss.

The rule isn't to take you shots when you can, but rather make the plays when they are available. He didn't make the play at three critical times in my opinion.

He was 70% on the night. What do you want from him... perfection? He put the ball where it needed to be on the Glenn "overthrow" -- Glenn just wasn't quite there to catch it. You underthrow that pass with the double coverage, and you have yourself a pick.

Funny that it wasn't Glover, Ferguson, Spears, Canty, Ellis, Dat, James, Ware, Fujita.

Wonder how you came to that conclusion.

Please elaborate.

..."perfection" is what it we would have needed to get this win. The RBs weren't doing it, the line wasn't doing it and the defence sure as heck wasn't doing it.

It really was McNabb who gifted us the win. Two times Glenn was open and that why he is getting the money he is paid. To make the plays when they are there.

Let's be honest here, the two passes would have drastically changed the complexion of the game.

What game were you watching?

18 yard pass to Smith, Shanle is staring into the middle of the field as Smith runs right past him.

He got sucked inside on every run to his side.

He had no idea that McNabb had the ball on his TD run until he started dancing beside him.

The pass to Gordan on the outside he realized at the last second his man split out wide and he was chasing the play across the field at the snap.

Dreadful performance.

Fujita was not much better.

Ferguson had a poor game as well.

... you forgot Ware who was unable to generate pressure. Quite frankly the entire defence forgot to come out to play except the secondary.

They directed everything away from Ware. They ran right, and rolled McNabb away from him.

Bledsoe had at least 5 jailbreaks at him. Guys totally not blocked....

Our Running game was non existent. Clutch last drive allowed us to get in range for Roy play-

WIN

True enough. It was more like a prison riot. There was no where to go for the guy. I would, however, like to see him throw it away a little more often. He also had that frustrated look on his face. Seemed he didn't like what was going on with the game plan.

Not to mention the constant chips westbrook was giving him.

Drew reminds me of Troy Aikman more than any other QB. Aikman didn't stare down receivers but aside from that, they are very similar QB's. They both have that slow internal cadence or throwing rhythm. This is why both QB's had trouble with the blitz; it's because it really threw off their rhythm. They both love to take their time which is why they were so deadly when you gave them time in the pocket.

The Williams interception was the winning score. But as a whole the team struggled until the fourth quarter. I think tonight Bledsoe and the defense showed that GREAT teams can find ways to win games they shouldn't. This was a game that may define our entire season come late december.

When Bledsoe is pressured he is among the worse qb's in the pocket because of his statuesque nature. But when he has time he makes plays. And tonight the long bomb to price, and the glenn TD were money plays when it mattered.

You could argue this team should be 9-0 or 8-1, but I'll take the 6-3 mark and I like this teams chances the rest of the way.

Good points. We shouldn't forget that the Eagles defense can be very disruptive and they were definitely playing with a chip and their backs against the wall. The Boys could've folded but they didn't. Nice way to hold on and steal a "W" on the road in a hostile environment. :wink2:
