Bledsoe played good, so did JJ

and our O line did not give up any sacks. JJ got some decent yds.
Our D played great for 55 minutes. But in the end it was not enough.
But I think that we will still have a fine season. All the emotion and distractions did not help either. If we had been playing any other team but the Skins on a regular night we win easy.
That is the way that dumb peculiar shaped footsieball bounces.

I don't see how scoring your only TD off a gadget play can be considered "good".

I have to disagree Bledsoe could not make a pass when things counted sorry to crucial skipped passes to a wide open Key was bad

He made the key pass to Key. The game was over. Then the refs called phantom holding. If not for that call Bledsoe is kneeling with another W.

Bledsoe haters really want to hang this on him- but he made enough plays- we just could not hold on. The D lost this game- with some help from the O. After the first TD, we had 6 yds on first down then PASSED on the next 2? BP picked a really LOUSY time to NOT play it safe.

Sure the defense sucked.

But the offense has to be more productive and the leader of the offense is #11.

And he came up "small".

Yes he did not make some plays- but also there were some bad plays called. You need to be a little more objective.

So a flea flicker is now a "high school" play, huh? What I saw was a brilliantly called play with the Commanders committing to stop the run. I had no problems with that play calling.

The problems I had were giving up 3rd and bazillion and then having Brunell scrambel for a zillion yards to make it 4th and 2 when it should have been 4th and 15 at least. But then again, we couldn't hold no a 4th and 15. Sorry, but this game was lost on luck, bad defensive positioning, and a little bit of bad officiating from the refs.

Miki - knock off the crap - no sacks, no interceptions 261 yards - your Bledsoe hate is old.

Bledsoe did not lose that game. Go back and watch Losman Bills tape.

When it's the only TD we score--- yeah that's a problem.

Bledsoes arm was weak in the 4th quarter, even the anouncers mentioned it.

Overall stat wise good game, could not move the ball to burn clock or bring us back when we needed it.

Typical BP bus driver, did not make any real mistakes to lose us the game, but could not carry us when we needed it.

We blew the coverage on 2 hail Mary passes and Flosmell killed the drive to win the game on a penalty. I think the penalty was questionable but it still cost us a win. With that first down we would have had an easy field goal for the win.

I think we palyed a pretty good game for the most part and I give credit to the Commanders, they do appear to be better than they were last year. Still they are NOT a playoff conteneder or a Super Bowl contender no matter what that idiot Joe Thiesman says.

We did not have nearly as many penalties as the week before and protected Bledsoe better. So we did have some improvement. The Commanders went deep on those 2 plays, I think that is a good call. We should go deep at least once most every drive. That spreads the defense out and gives you the opportunity for a big play.

Bledsoe is doing pretty good, we are still not giving him great protection (better than last year though) but he is making good decisions and getting rid of the ball. We will see how our O line does when we face a real defense. Bledsoe or any other quarterback will not do as good when they get real pressure on them so we will see how that goes. Curly

I think it was a combination of things.

First, give credit where it's due...the Commanders have a very good defense.

Second, I'm still pissed about the playcalling. All of these targets for Bledsoe and we're "playing it safe".

Third, all of the sudden the defense blitzed little if any during the 4th quarter. Was this Zimmer or Big Poppa whispering in his ear?

How is that Bledsoe's fault? Geez. I see Bledsoe being blamed, and I see Williams being blamed when the conversions that occurred were extreme rarities in any typical football game. This game was not the fault of Bledsoe, nor was it the fault of Williams. 4th and 15 conversions don't happen often, unless somehow you're the Cowboys. See last week's SD game.

When I can start guessing the plays and start questioning defensive alignments before they are called, then something is extremely wrong.

I agree with this statement. This is not to say that he lost us the game but his quality of passes left a lot to be desired. Also, we must remember, that if we are looking for a QB that can buy time for himself in the event of a total collapse or a QB that can improvise on the fly, we don't have one here.

Drews biggest assest is his "big arm" and last night it came up small. He was overthrowing screens, underthrowing and overthrowing receivers. Not a good day for Drew last night (despite what the stats say) but I still think he will make some very big plays for us as the year goes along.

Zimmer/BP needed to say to each other- after the first TD- we have to stop Moss no matter what. They didn't.

Exactly but I will blame that one on Sean Payton not BP.

The Commanders have one of the top defenses in the league. Our 'O' line did a great job last night considering they are protecting a QB that has as much mobility as an oak tree. Speaking of mobility, why did BP stop with the bootleg plays that threw the Commanders off earlier in the game?
