Mark Brunell should be given some credit here. He made plays down the stretch, scampered and got them out of a third and very long, then hit Moss on two big TD plays. The 4th quarter late holding call on Flozell was a killer, ref keeps the hankie in his pocket on that play and the Cowboys run out the clock and head for the locker room. In our predictions this week I had a late Commanders score give them a win, but I never thought the Cowboys would score just one TD. That's nearly inexcusable being at home and all. Commanders' Defense is a good one....just not THAT good, though.
The Cowboys have to completely get over this and move on with the short work week.

I thought Bledsoe played ok. He didn't throw a pick but sure dropped alot of snaps that has me worried a little. But I thought he played good enough for the win.

13-0 may not be appealing to alot. But a win is a win no matter how you slice it. Poor Playcalling and mental mistakes by the defense cost us the game. Not to mention the 41 yrd FG missed by Cortez. that one came back and bit us. :banghead: :banghead:

Actually I thought Julius Jones played less than stellar.

He looked gassed and lethargic throughout the game. All he did was take advantage of the holes the o-line created, nothing more.

He didn't create any extra yardage, and appeared to be tackeled quite easily several times in the open field.

Although Portis ran for less yards, he ran with more purpose than JJ. Julius seems to go down quite easily I noticed last night. I hope I'm wrong about this though.

Go down easy? skins defense played a good game not sure why some can't accept that. There were some big hits by both teams throught out this game.

Nors and others think that QB play is all about stats. If you paid attention to the ring of honor ceremony last night you would be reminded that it is all about wins. 14 points is not a good offensive performance. The Qb missed open throws down the stretch, anyone who would deny that is just not being honest with themselves. Bledsoe had ZERO pressure all night. Sometimes he actually had to just throw the ball away because he stood there for what seemed like 5 minutes and nothing was open. So to miss open throws with no one in your face is just poor passing. He also made some good throws, I would not deny that, and I don't like taking the Terry Glenn TD away from him. The QB's job is to run the play called, it was a great play call, great execution, perfect throw by Bledsoe. My opinion is that he played well enough for us to win in week 1, and helped us lose in week 2.
