.....Ryan Leaf.

Big, strong arm, but mentally to slow for the game around him.

I love it when people put words in my mouth.

Let me spell it out for you.

I am comparing Bledsoe's current ability to Leaf...I am not comparing their careers.

There is a reason why 33 is considered old in todays NFL. Your body changes with age. You slow down.

Call me an instant evaluator if you want. But Bledsoe has nothing. We have a very long season ahead of us with him in command. And we will hear "he gives us the best chance to win."

I'm afraid you are correct.

Here comes Deja Vu from last year.

Boy, I hope you are wrong, because Romo won't be able to do it as a starter week in and week out and Henson isn't ready.

At this stage of his career, I wouldn't disagree strongly on that statement. But I have never seen a QB pat the ball so much and so many times. Thats been his theme past few years though.

Then why not the comparison of Bledsoe and Vinny?

That would be a good comparison too.

But (todays version of Bledsoe) just really reminds me of Leaf.

I think Mike is correct. I think everybody assumes that because Leaf never really had all that productive a career, he could not have stayed in the NFL had he not had the wrist injury. Leaf had unbelievable amounts of natural talent when he came out. He had a 10 cent head to go along with it but the talent was unquestionable. The reason he did not last in the NFL was the wrist. I agree with Mike. I can see the corralation Mike is trying to make here.

Last off season, there was a huge amount of discussion about how much of an upgrade Bledsoe was to Vinnie. At the time, I did not feel as if there was much at all. I acutually thought he would have more difficulty based on our ability to pass protect. It was a huge board melt down and now were here with the season around the corner. One game does not make a conviction. I will not get down on Bledsoe until such time as it is clearly evident he can not do it any longer. However, my concerns with this player were there when we signed him and are still there. I will support him as he is a Cowboy but I still concerned about the whole thing.

My own feeling is Bledsoe will do fine, we have played 1 pre-season in which the entire unit played bad. If we do not show progress over the next couple of pre-season game I may have a change of heart but not at this stage.

Woah, Nelly! No need to respond to one ridiculous exageration with another.

40,000 career passing yards, 2 superbowls, one ring...and he isn't even done playing yet...but let me guess his career .500 winning percentage and the fact he won a superbowl on the bench mean nothing right

This, to me, is incorrect. That's a pretty tall tree you've got there. I would think that when the wind gets to blowing, it kinda moves back and forth in the breeze.

Now if you had a picture of a tree stump........

LOL!!!!!

I'm just kindding here. It's only the first game.
