We need to have realistic expectations of Drew Bledsoe. Nowhere is his history has he proved he can win a big game...nowhere.....why would we think his tenure here would be different.

As much as I love the Tuna, his inflexible ways and belief in his players is not going to yield us a world championship. Let's come to grips with this and understand we will be a stronger defensive team, but his pedestrian ball control offense will never, never win in todays NFL.

Again, let's be real and understand what we are working with.
* Average at best Offensive Line, that's old for the most part
* Pedestrian offense....with old wideouts
* GREAT RUNNING GAME....BUT HORRIBLE OFFENSIVE LINE
* Good, but not GREAT defense

This will not yield a Superbowl.

Wholesale changes need to be made on the offensive side of the ball, beginning with the QB. Bledsoe is an upgrade, but only is only a stop gap, that will not yield a world championship.

I give you props because you and Michael Winnicki were those that were not ready to annoint Bledsoe as the savior of this franchise a month ago when a lot of people kept raving about his #1 QB rating in the NFC.

But you also loved Alex Smith so I have to give you a hard time about that especially when we warned you that he was overrated due to the weak competition he faced in college. :)

Hey James,

I appriciate you saying that. I am not ready to conceed on Smith, in much the same way as Bledsoe. Smith is a Rookie and there are going to be bumps in the road for that guy. Having said that, I'm still pretty solid on him. I think the team will improve and so will Smith. To be honest, I'm praying that they don't get Bush to go with Smith. If they do, it's over and I hate the 9rs.

;)
