Why would a soft practice equate to a sharp start? I would think the opposite.

Because if you're not beating each others face in you're usually spending more time working on the mental aspects and technique.

What does a blister have to do with his surgery? Also, didn't he say he's 100%?

We're talking about a blister here. A blister. The fact we're even talking about a blister is sad.

Hey they hurt. Try going full speed with a blister on your foot.

Dez is having an issue with a nasty blister on his foot that might curtail his practice schedule.

Have you seen those huge cleats he's wearing? They look more like basketball shoes than football cleats. I suspect they might be the reason for the issue.

Does anyone have a picture of these things?

How else is he supposed to wear all those pairs of socks?

I have. Many times. I used to speed skate in my younger days. These are football players we're talking about here.

Lol speed skating. How many pounds of force are you activating going for jump balls in those?

Blisters suck. And most of the people moaning about Dez nursing it couldn't do a box jump and haven't sprinted to anything but a buffet line in years. Much less with a fat blister that's getting pressure on it constantly.

Game time is a different story. But it's the first few days of camp. Fix the issue on how he got it, spray it, wrap it, good to go in a few days.

//former two guard
//torn ACL and rotator cuff
//do box jumps and interval sprints at least once a week
//yeah blisters suck.

What is this "LMAO"

Have you had a blister on the heel before? And it's not like Dez is out for weeks over this. READ the thread, it says "he's fine"

Is there a stupid bug going around this place? Let me get out the disinfectant spray.

I would hope he's fine. it's a blister. I've coached little girls soccer teams who don't make big deals out of blisters.

Mitigating injuries vs football preparedness. Two competing philosophies it seems.

I look at it as more of a desperate team with little depth that cant afford any more injuries or mishaps if they have any chance of competing. The Steelers recent history speak for themselves.

I don't think that today's players are necessarily less rough. Could also be that we weren't always privy in the old days to every nick and bruise a player has. Combine social media and loose lips and you have a story.
