Blitz/press coverage has really affected Purdy

Right, as he had some great passes as well. All QB's have some stinker passes. But get pressure on most of them, they will have bad games. We got no pressure on him.
Tom Brady threw picks and bad passes when pressured enough. IT is the key to stopping any QB.

We saw it again last night, the Vikings used the same blueprint and they don't have anywhere near the personnel that the Browns have. Blitz/play man coverage disrupts the 49ers timing passing game. Of coarse it certainly helps without Deebo who is difficult to tackle in space, but the same formula has worked where 49ers just scored 17 points in back to back weeks.

As for the 49er defense. the Vikings were able to run enough to keep them honest and Cousins beat their corners all night long, but something of note, Vikings didn't give up a single sack.
What are you talking about ? The Vikings blitz more than any team in the NFL. It’s like 57% of defensive snaps they blitz and they are good at it. The # 2 blitzing team isn’t even half that. So, they did not steal a page from Cleveland. This is how they play defense every week.

Fair enough.

I been telling ya'll this. He is a system QB. Hes a timing, on schedule guy. Thats what he is. But if u can get him just a bit off his mark, off schedule, mess up his timing, he will give the ball away. We saw this 2 games in a row. The league has the template now.
Yup the system he's in is simple and very QB friendly and rely on dynamic skill players and great blockers to make it successful and efficient. Take away the skill players and extra effort and you have just an ordinary QB. And it helps having a top 3 defense cover your *** too!!

The SF O-line looks soft, Purdy hates the blitz and their secondary is vulnerable. If Dak could get his head out of his sand against this team

This can be said about a lot of QBs held in high regard. Hurts and Tua come to mind. What difference does it make if they're effective? Just try to keep the pieces around them.

Cousins got rid of the ball fast, there were a lot of times he barely had 1 second to throw it... and he put it on an open guy more times than not.

give NFL DC's enough tape and they will figure you out. you have to be uber talented like Mahomes for DCs to have a challenge on their hand. Purdy is not the first, won't be the last. our own Dak went 13-3 the first year and subsequently they figured out his weaknesses. happens to almost all.

Minnesota had a QB that was making accurate passes. We did not.

Cousins played out of his mind in that game Monday night, he was the difference. He was much better than Purdy and he did it without one of the best Receivers in the league.

Say what you want, but if the 9ers played the Cowboys 10 straight games you would have the same results of the Oct 8th game. The 9ers hate the Cowboys and unfortunately for the Cowboys they bring the best out of the 9ers when they play each other. Shanahan and his group of thugs have the Boy's number.......................LOL!
