I won't argue with the quality of the streamed content on netflix, because it's generally poor, especially if you're used to lovely HD all the time, but you saying the selection is poor translates to saying you have very specific tastes, because the selection of streaming material is massive on netflix. Outside of pirating, you're not going to find close to as much as they offer.

My kids could care less about the HD issue. All they know is that Friday/Saturday nights they get to go out there and pick from a ridiculous amount of content and it starts playing on the TV (via the Wii).

They got to watch Spongebob through NetFlix on my phone while we were on a thirty minute wait at Cantina 1511 last weekend. Not a single complaint from them about the wait. That rocks.

NetFlix streaming is a gold mine for kids. Combine that with my honestly not caring if I wait an extra month for Blu Rays and you have a winning combination.

The selection may be massive compared to other places that stream content, but I wasn't trying to compare it to them. I was speaking in general terms. What they have is mostly older fare. If they do get more current titles, rarely are they HD. They have a lot of more low rent movies to offer. Straight to video type stuff.

It's not bad for some TV shows, but that's if you're looking at something several years old. If they had more new releases available, in HD, and in good quality, then I'd say it was a good reason to go with them over Blockbuster.

I guess my tastes are somewhat specific (i.e. newer, HD, non-straight to dvd movies I haven't seen quite a few times already).

Give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the BB's in his area, are all owned by the two dumb little pigs!?

I switched to NetFlix since I got a iPhone and being able to stream tv shows anywhere is very convenient, but i'll probably go back to Blockbuster because of the video games when enough get backlogged that I want to play;

How often are the movies updated? And I can't find Dexter. Does Netflix have it?

Season 1-3 are available for streaming. Season 4 is available via DVD/Blu-Ray. Season 5 has not been released yet.

Last I looked, Netflix had season 1 and 2 of Dexter, but none after that. I would have subscribed if they had all the previous seasons as I've only seen season one and the season that just ended.

I see, thanks. How much more is the DVD/Blue Ray a month? And do I have to watch them in order or will I get confused?

I heard a lot of good things about the show, so I need to start watching it. I just finished seasons 1-3 on PB via NetFlix, hands down best show I've ever seen. Don't think Dexter can beat it.

I would suggest that you watch them in order. There would be some confusing parts, but you could overcome that. It is simply better season to season when you know the background.

Unlimited Streaminng is 7.99 a month. It is 9.99 per month with one DVD out and unlimited streaming or 11.99 with Blu-Ray and unlimited streaming.

Noticed they have every episode of Heroes available for streaming, great show to watch from beginning to end for all those looking for a show to checkout.
